So we were taught the basics of bullying and what is considered bullying in homeroom

And the stories seemed so unreal.

A boy 6'5" weighing 300 lbs was suffering a mental disability, and other mainstream children in his school made fun of him everyday.
One day at lunch they threw food at him, causing four others to join in the jeering when after lunch he went into the boy's restroom and took out a gun he had in his bag and shot himself in the head.

._. I feel so depressed after hearing stories like that.

 

I was gonna say something but I felt like it'd drag things from MSN to here and...yeah.

Though to be honest, his parents probably should have been more responsible about having an accessible gun. >>

I don't give a fuck who's to blame, it's sad. It's so easy to get a gun by the way.

 

The teachers don't necessarily care. I run into that problem very often.

Depends what state you're in, easier to get in some states than others.

 

What classifies as a "mainstream" kid?


And life is cruel. Simple as that. Yeah, it's sad, but there are worse stories out there.

Personally, I would've shot everyone else, but meh, that's just me.

and the teachers probably didnt know, like most cases of bullying. They also were probably not in the bathroom...like at normal schools.

 

It would of been much worse if he actually had gone to the teachers for help and they ignored him instead. That happens quite a lot, so in some cases it's not just the bullies but ignorant teachers as well. Either way it's not a pleasant thought.

 

How can you be sure? Maybe he shot himself not because his teacher was standing right next to him in the corridor and followed him into the bathroom.

I'd think bullying in the lunch room in such a manner would be quite noticable, imo.

 

Trust me, you'd be surprised what can go unnoticed in the lunch room, bullying or otherwise.

 

or maybe a blind eye was turned to the bullying in the lunchroom? Seriously in a world where a blind eye is turned to people doing drugs, a burrying you head in the sand about bullying is that far of a leap.

Yeah, a lot of states do that, but I'm from Boston where it's very hard to get a gun legally, but I if I ever wanted to get a gun illegally for whatever reason, it wouldn't be hard at all, but maybe it's just the neighborhood I live in.

 

Same in NJ, you have to jump through flaming hoops in order to get a license, let alone a gun. >>
