Some say yes, some say no...

Some say Nostradamus predicted it, some say he didn't...

    What do you guys think?

I'll say what I think after I watch some of the facts they present on the History Channel tonight at 9 o' clock (Eastern Time).

How many future apocalypses have been predicted? And how many have actually happened?

Well if the world does end in 2012, I'll be rather disappointed, seeing as I'd have only just graduated High School. :l

I'll have been out of that hell hole [High School] for 2 years, :D. But yeah, wihle there have been a bunch of different civilizations predicting this like libre said, just to clarify, a majority of them were done without the civilizations knowing of the other predictions. So. . . 2012 is an odd number to kinda just "fall on". Has an odd ring to it though. And that Nostradomus guy hasn't ever been wrong, like someone else said, if I recall correctly. I might go find a list of his predictions. . . I have enough free time, xDD.

AH HA!!! I've dug a bit, and its starting to look like, although "none" of his predictions have been wrong, there is a small chance that all of them are actually his. According to wikipedia, and a few other sites I've looked at (wikipedia explains it the best, so I'll quote from there)

"Given printing practices at the time (which included type-setting from dictation), no two editions turned out to be identical, and it is relatively rare to find even two copies that are exactly the same. Certainly there is no warrant for assuming – as would-be "code-breakers" are prone to do – that either the spellings or the punctuation of any edition are Nostradamus' originals." - Wikipedia, under The Works section, under sub-section The Prophecis. Due to free editing, while this may not be accurate, it is sound from what I've looked at from other sites. Also, this is subject to change, due to the editing capabilities of wikipedia.

Now then, many of Mistah N's predictions were not very. . . Let's use the word acute. They were obtuse - broad, and could fit many of the events that have taken place over the years. It all depends upon the interpretation of the person(s) who are studying his predictions. Also, about that copying thing not being very accurate. What if someone had changed around the wording of the predictions, and it turns out that it could fit something else entirely different? Like, what if they threw in one of their own "predictions" just for giggles? Just saying...

D: Kinda hope this helped. A RL friend of mine is really freaked out about it, so like, don't be. 'Cuz whenever you spew your thoughts to your friends on yahoo, they find it annoying ^_^
