To not care about friendship is to not care about a key element of the show, a show which you've defended and claimed to be a fan of several times, you're contradicting yourself quite severely with this statement.

there are reasons to like the show besides friendship. if all it was about was friendship i wouldnt like it. There are many more reasons to like it, and i always ignore the long speeches at the end about friendship. The main reason i watch it is because its funny, cute, adorable, cute, it has nice songs, i enjoy the characters, and it puts me in a good mood.

But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. I like it. I love it. But it is what it is and I despise bronies.

It really isn't a family show, nor a show for everyone. It can be a family show at times, in certain episodes. But nonetheless if you look at the plot, if you look at the characters, it's a kids show. A show about the magic of friendship. But that doesn't mean you can't like it. It means you shouldn't be mad when they adapt the show for children. It means you can be a fan, but you can't expect it to be fit to your desires.

I was helping my friend babysit her nephew and she made me watch some of it(I did suggest the Lion King to no avail..).
It's a show about ponies. Is it slightly amusing during a few moments? Sure, I guess. The episode I saw had these little bugs that reminded me of the Tribbles from Star Trek, so I found that funny. It's a show made for little kids though, we all watch stuff made for younger kids, if you watched Yu-gi-oh you watched a show dedicated to friendship(cries). But supposedly cute ponies running around a pastel world...I just cant help you. People are going to see pink and ponies and think 'girl fandom'. The dude fandom of it that feels the need to use 'bronies' is ridiculous. Are people Star Wudups, Trekbrokis, Disdudes...no. Plus they're usually really loud and scary.

 

kh doesnt do it in a way thats suited to 5 year old girls.
