But so far there seem to be just as many people supporting this. And couldn't we just abolish default smilies altogether following this logic? Also I'm not actively trying to start a fight, though I will admit that people's reactions so far have been pretty entertaining.

 

Because the forum defaults are used a hell of a lot more than your face would be.

Repliku just gave us three conditions. Two of them have been met. How about we make a poll with a yes and a no option. No undecided. We give it a week, and then go from there. Sound alright?

I don't see what the big deal is. If someone wants to use it that badly then it isn't hard to get a link, the face is already being used. I don't think making it a smiley is worth it. It'll just become overused and irritating like everything else.​

 

And if you use forum logic, it'll become a smiley, it'll be overused and spammed, and then it'll die down.

I mean, you already have it on MSN, most of the members on KHV that really know who that is are on MSN.

yes staff, I would like an anatomically correct disembodied head to display my signs of happiness. Especially when said disembodied head is not uniform to the other expressions available I can make on the forums.

As much as I hate to be labeled a fun-sucker or whatever, this is kinda pointless. :/

An emoticon is a graphic representation of a person or people showing an action, emotion, or feeling. If it shows a real person, it defies the definition, as it's not a representation.​

 

I just mean all this that we're causing. Not the actual act of it being one.
