So School is already canceled for tommorrow

At my school, our half day got an early release, and tomorrow's already canceled.

Only light, fluffy snow is coming down so far, but tomorrow's the day where we're supposed to get the heavy stuff.

 

I um...have work.

Most of the snow is supposed to fall south of me anyway.

I freaking loved those books.

 

I had two novels and two graphic novels :'D The show totally butchered it.

 

I had, about 17-20 novels, one graphic novel, and three other books. And I agree. They pronounced Taranee's name wrong and they could all fly and blah.

 

Not to mention they got Irma's shirt wrong (or at least in the ad's they did)

 

That drove me crazy, you could tell they barely spent any time at all on the show. Or at least not enough time studying the base material.

 

I know. The original books were to somewhat actually make fun of the magical girl genre and actually turn it into something realistic. The show... pretty much tried to be Sailor Moon (even to the extent of making it look like an anime).

The animation bothered me, and after the first season I didn't keep up with it. I've probably seen them all now, though. I always wanted a Heart of Candracar necklace.

The books are the bomb. Read them.

you lucky hamsters. it doesn't snow here in south Louisiana but in the north, they get snow. that's why i don't like the north Louisiana people and why i don't like living in Louisiana in the winter... oh, and i have school today. just wondering, but what is the "2 hour delay" stuff mean??

 

This is perhaps the single day within the entire few years that almost every single Canadian stereotype has been proven correct, locally at the least.

Assuming she ment it the same way it is used around here, it is when they give people extra time to get the roads cleared and get there before they start. So if school usually starts at 7:30 then they will make the new start time 9:30 under a two hour delay. Two hours isn't the only option but it is pretty standard; less than that and there isn't much point in calling the delay, more and you are cutting into the day to much.
