It's not like it makes these posts any less valid, and it's painfully obvious that the SpamZone is the only thing keeping this place active. I would argue that having the posts in here not count is what helps keep this an honest section. If they did count people would postwhore the **** out of this place because there's nothing telling them they can't, which would completely ruin everything good about this section. I've always regarded the SpamZone as the place you come to to get to know other members and earn a reputation for yourself, not a number, but an actual reputation, because they can see you for who you really are when you're not trying to sound smart discussing and debating or whatever. If posts counted towards that it would take away part of what makes that so important. Plus, if posts counted here we would all have ridiculously high post counts. What would be the point then? Post counts wouldn't mean anything. I'm proud of my 700 some posts, I put real thought into them by debating and discussing with other members, I don't think the posts here should be included in that. Yes they're important, but they're important for different reasons.

If you want more posts, help keep the other sections alive by posting there. they need it

 

See most of you guys probably don't remember the time when posts counting in the Fun and Games section. I got like 1/4 of my premium progress from posting in dumb ass threads like "rhyme with the poster above you" or something like that.

 

A lot of people did and we overturned it for the exact reasons Below mentioned. I know I lost around 600 posts when we removed the post count from the what song are you listening to thread.

Post count is a number on an internet forum about a children's video game. I don't tend to get too up in arms about it.

Also, I like the feeling that if I write a worth enough RP Post, I get rewarded by being one step closer to premium.

In the spam zone I don't wanna have to work, I wanna be the me that everyone hates, and I don't want to be rewarded for being hated.

 

Basically. Not all RP posts count, they have to be over a certain character count and even then ones that are too spammy or irrelevant to the story are deleted. I don't know how you'd filter out such things for the Spamzone and I honestly think the section is better without any pressure.
