"Can you put headphones in? I want to watch TV." And I was all like, "Fine..." And she was like "What music are you listening to, anyway?" And I was all like "The TWEWY soundtrack." and my sis was like "Twewy?" And I was like "It stands for The World Ends With You." And she was all like "...That's the stupidest nickname for a game ever. It sounds like a kids show." And then she was all like "Can you help me find the twewy, kids? Nope, that's not a twewy. That's right! There's the twewy!" And I was all like
I still havn't played this game. I here good things about it and ive seen its on the app store. would you recommend it?
In her defence, saying TWEWY out loud is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever said. And I speak some French.
This^ Plus, using the acronym aloud KNOWING the other party won't get it... It's just being stuck up so you can get the chance to share your "wealth of knowledge" with them. God, this is why Neku is a terrible f*cking character. He blames people for him being a prick and the fans just LATCH onto that.
Remember kids, saying acronyms outloud that aren't commonly used will ~7/10 times make you sound like a twat. Or a twewy in this case.
Yeah, but honestly, I thought she DID know what it stood for... I've had the game for years, and I think she played it once. My other two sisters love it, one wants it for Christmas, and the other will get it for her birthday next year when she turns 15. I was actually surprised she didn't know what it meant. However, I agree that it is one of the most ridiculous words I've said. But yes, I highly recommend it. It's got a good message, the art and music is great, and the battle system is my favorite out of all the games I've played. (which is admittedly not very many, as even though I love video games, I cannot afford as much as I would like, and have to rely on the generosity of others to play.)
