So, my phone is due for an upgrade in December

I currently do not have a smartphone, and therefore know nothing about them, but since I have to start paying for my own phone bill at that time, I'd kinda like one. Therefore I'd like some help from some people who do have smartphones.

I know I'd probably want an android, and we're on Verizon. I also don't want a majorly expensive phone (maybe something I can get for ~70$ or less?). I just wanna start thinking about this now so I know what I want when christmas rolls around. Little help, KHV?

 

Get an LG smartphone.

 

Droids in general are great phones. My current one, the Droid Razr Maxx, has ridiculously good battery life, and is all-around really nice.

Maybe the Droid Razr M would be good for you? Costs about $50 with the 2 year activation. Main downsides are unremarkable photos and unremovable battery (like my own phone.) Here's a CNET review.

 

If you're on AT&T I think you can get an LG Optimus G for like $50. Not sure.

But they are within her price range. Galaxy S3 is a decent choice as well.

 

Right now I'm leaning toward the Galaxy, mostly because I've heard good things and I can get it for ~50$. Which is within the range that I might get it for christmas instead of having to buy it.
