Apparently I found out I have Cholesteatoma and now have to get surgery to remove it. It's already eaten away at the bones in my ear, which explains a good chunk of why I can't hear out of my right ear anymore. Now I need to get a titanium piece put in to replace to bones, and hope that after the surgery I don't get to be one of the unlucky ones where brain fluid leaks out, as well as being unlucky enough for it to come back in 5-10 years. How is it I'm always with the unlikely events?

That's sad to hear man. I'll pray for the best outcome possible for you. Medical stuff like that is never easy to deal with, so I really do wish you the best.

Stay strong/healthy man. Be sure to keep us all updated, I will be rooting for you. No doubt about it. If you need anything or just need to vent, we are here for ya.

Your posts have been uncharacteristically cold recently. Perhaps I am just a bit sensitive to this stuff because I know how awful he may be feeling (as someone who has been in and out of hospitals for years), but posts like this aren't exactly the nicest thing in the world. For example if you posted a link to a wiki page about brain damage in my car accident thread that someone made years ago, good lord I would have made a scene about that. Of course everyone is different, meaning they react to bad news in different ways (as the person getting the bad news AND the people hearing about it afterwards), but if you don't really have anything supportive or nice to say you are better off not saying anything at all. I'm not trying to tell you how to think, but just try to be a little bit more sensitive to those going through hard times.

I've edited my post to prevent misinterpretations, Luxord.

@Iskandar, hope all goes well. My mom's dealing with some health issues as well and will need surgery. (If anyone's curious, feel free to send me a conversation. It's pretty private.)

Like I said he didn't look bothered by it, just don't want you to accidentally upset the next person who is going through something like that.

Im actually thankful that Amaury posted that Wiki page.

I actually looked up what this Cholesteatoma was before scrolling down the thread, but the fact that Amaury posted a link to its description is neat.

Amaury was just trying to help bruh.

Also, sorry to hear about what you´re going through, Isk. : /

    You gotta pull through dawg.

I'm curious, will you recover your hearing after they put in the bones and get it out or will you need a hearing aid?

Like @burnitup said, regardless of what happens we'll be here for you

Well, that's that plan. I'm just hoping them putting a piece of titanium in my ear means it stays there more than anything. There's a check-up 2 months after to see if everything's okay, but I need to surgery first. I'm trying to get the price estimate before anything though

I really hope your insurance covers most of it. The medical bills tied with this kind of stuff can be just ridiculous. You got this though.
