Misleading title, right? Yeah sort of

Some of you may have heard Obama being sued about not admitting he was Born in Kenya, making him a Kenyan citizen and therefore not legally able to take the Presidency of the United States. Wether or not this is true is yet to be decided. But having been sued some 30 days ago, Democrats have yet to make a response and the prosecutors are currently reveling in victory, saying they win by default. Sadly it seems most of this is true, whether or not Obama was born in Kenya, it is very suspicious that he'd withhold his birth certificate from public view, as well as not respond to legal action taken against him for it. Not really sure how this is turning out, but if it turns out how Republicans want it to, Obama will no longer be an eligible Candidate for President. Leaving John McCain and 2 other candidates no one has ever heard of.

Trust the Republicans to win through underhand tactics like this as opposed to actually winning over the populace. Lol if Obama is forced to drop out everyone who was to vote for him should abstain or vote Mickey Mouse.

How does it work in America btw, if only a very small percentage of valid votes are cast, does the election still count?

With the Electoral college in place, as long as at least 1 person votes in each state, the election continues, as the electoral college gives 1 vote per state based on the majority of voters for each state.

Hmmm, they should adopt the posture that Northern Irish voters take. If the candidate you want in has no chance of winning, you vote instead for the most popular person that isn't one you hate xD

Thereby keeping out the one you dislike.

I have no idea what you are talking about ;D

Anyway, why is it that you must be born in the United States of America to become president? Surely once you gain citizenship it becomes the best person for the job, not what country they happened to be born in. What if your parents were both American born and bred but you were born on holiday in Spain? You would never be considered Spanish.

By American law, you HAD to be born on American soil to become president. Yes, it is rather silly nowadays, but when the government was first formed, Americans didn't want Foreign Rulers taking over the country even through peaceful election means. Looking at the Austrian-Hungarian empire, in which the King just happened to rule over both nations by birthright, it's understandable that this was a precaution taken to make sure Americans will forever rule Americans.

    ...it's still ******ed.

Surely the fact that you have earned citizenship means that you have earned the right to be American lol

I personally would like to see Big Arnie as president, just for the craic ;D

    Seems like bullshit to me...

Obama's father and mother met at the University of Hawaii, his mother, white, being born in Wichita Kansas and his father being born in Kenya. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii.

And what seems suspicious to me is that there are 14 days left until November 4th, and they're coming up with this **** now? Even if he was sued 30 days ago, thats ****ing September.

I haven't heard anything about this...no offense to you or anything but where did you pull up this info? I watch MSNBC like everyday...

Type "Obama, sued, and Kenya" into Google, you'll get dozens of links similar to these.

This story is 3 months old actually, but republicans are freaking out about it more now then previously.

I would say it's not true for the most matter. No REAL news site has stated this as far as I've seen. And he's been a senator for 6-7 (not too sure on numbers, I forget) years. It's been stated that he's born in Honolulu, Hawaii.

    =\

Until I see actual GOOD news coverage on it (that means no FOX bs), I'll believe it.

I'm not sure how accurate this site is, but BS?

EDIT: Did some research. I used Wikipedia, though. The dude who sued Hawaii for Obama's birth certificate is Andy Martin, is apparently very antisemitic, and once tried to run for Congress with the promise to "to exterminate Jew power."

Yeeeaaaahhhh... I'm calling BS on this'n.

EDIT #2: He's also the one who spread the lie that Obama's Muslim.

I'd love to take that as fact, but birth certificates can easily be photoshopped.

I think unless Obama acknowledges this situation directly I'll have my doubts about whether he is, or is not American. I think that it's true, it probably is Republican bullshit, but anything like this should be treated with suspicion, or at least a statement.

huh, i never heard of this. if it's as old as you say, i think it would've been everywhere by now but it's not on news sites like CNN even though this would be news worthy. i hope he's not disqualified because of this, because it would probably cause a HUGE riot where i live and i just am not up for that.

    he's been a senator for 3 years.

Actually, the no foreign presidents policy came from what most policies came from.

A bunch of people hated one president from Mexican origin and made the amendment like that.

As everyone else is pointing out, rumors are going to be flying left and right through this whole election. Until I see actual proof on a newsite beyond FOX and CBS, I will believe it.

I'd like to see actual proof too. The man doing the claim is a bigot and cannot be trusted. Also, even if he was born abroad, the parents could have requested he still be an American. That is really just kind of pushing things in the end. Lastly, I trust nothing that comes from Fox News at all. They don't even know a fist bump from a terrorist fist jab apparently.

I think that since his parents were both American citizens, as long as he lives in the United States for a certain amount of time he can still run for president.

I know, but I thought that since his mother was an American citizen then he could still run.

It's basically if you were born in the U.S., you can run. if not, you can't. That's basically the gist of it.

It sucks, but blame congress when they hated a mexican president for it.
