Nope, she's created by Square, not Disney.

Princess of Heart =/= Disney Princess

Ariel and Mulan are Disney Princesses but not PoH.
Alice isn't a Disney Princess but she is a PoH.

True, the princesses of Heart are:Alice, Jasmine, Cindereller, Snow White, Arora(sleeping beauty), Belle and Kairi.
but the acctual Princesses are:Jasmine, Cindereller, Snow White, Arora(sleeping beauty) and (I guess you could class Belle as a princess because she married the Beast)

    Resin's right.

If it's created by Square enix it's owned by them, like all FF and KH exclusive characters

Kairi is not a Disney princess. She's not owned by Disney, right? She's owned by Square Enix.

Your talking about Disney princess, and not Princess of Heart, right?

She is not at all a disney princess what so ever. In fact she's a princess of Radient Gardens, a non-disney world lol.

she doesn't have to be royalty to be Princess of Heart.
Ansem the Wise ruled Radiant Garden and, as far we know, Kairi isn't related to him.
Not to mention the fact that Alice wasn't princess of Wonderland

She might have actually been a princess. "Riku" (as Ansem) refers to Kairi as a Princess of Heart. Sora responds with "Kairi's a princess??" And Riku (Ansem) replies "Yes."

Whether he meant this literally or figuratively... =/

And if she IS a princess, she IS co-owned by Disney. Though, it does seem Square owns more of Kingdom Hearts. Disney doesn't seem to do anything with their rights to ownership. Nothing at Disneyland, nothing in the Disney Store, so maybe Square DOES own all non-specifically-disney aspects of the game. =/

Just to answer this question, Ariel was originally supposed to take Alice's role as one of the Princesses, but that would require Ariel becoming human, which wouldn't happen until Kingdom Hearts II, so they just replaced her place with Alice. :] At least, that's what I've read.

And yeah: Kairi is technically a Princess, but she's not one of the fab & groovy Disney Princesses.

Oh, you're right. I have seen them there. And, I might have heard that about Disneyland Tokyo, so I suppose they do have the rights to the characters, they just don't like to use those rights very much, not in the U.S. at least. (I've heard of KH cosplayers being kicked out of Disneyland, CA. XP)

So... I guess Kairi technically is a Disney princess. I just don't know if Disney would categorize her that way. =/
