I'm not really into rhythm games but I've been wanting to play this for a while. I managed to complete the stages on Easy fairly well. So I decided to move onto Normal...

I'm still deciding which version to get. Both are gonna be digital here in the EU so it doesn't really matter. Just wondering if there's a difference in content between the two.

What do you mean "which version?" I thought only F (the PS3 version) was being localized. Anyway, F has a few more songs that you can get as DLC in f, but the controls are a little clumsier in my opinion because the star triggers were originally designed for touchscreen input. Since playing the demo of F, I'm going to say that you ought to get f because of the star trigger thing that I mentioned earlier.

And yes, Sadistic Music Factory is exactly as horrible of an experience as it sounds. It's a great song, but it's really hard and the video is creepy as fuck. In my attempts to Perfect every song, I got a Standard on it and decided that that's close enough.

I thought that as well but I've seen it mentioned that f (Vita) is also getting released. But there isn't a lot of information about it so its hard to confirm. There isn't even a pre-order for it and I discovered you can't search for it on the PSN store (Had to search for the demo in the demo page rather searching its name). A bit of a pain in the toosh. Anyhoo I'll see next week.

I did find the star triggers difficult to time with the ps3 controller. And to be honest, its the type of game I would like to be able to pick up and play for a bit where ever I am. But the idea of needing a JP account and switching between that and my main puts me off a bit.

Now I'm interested in trying it out. xD

I got perfect scores on 2/3 of the demo songs (Tengaku and World's End Dancehall) on Normal, and I refuse to play easy because I feel dumb when I fail because there isn't enough for me to do. GET ON MY LEVEL.

Really though, I can't wait to try my hand at the harder modes when I get my copy this week. Having seen people play previous iterations on PSP, I'd recommend getting it for the Vita if you can (esp. because I like rhythm games on smaller screens), but it comes down to your preference.

Hmm, I tried finding it in the way that you said, but I'm not having any luck. Can you explain your exact process for it? I feel like I'm missing something really obvious.

If you don't mind spoilers, here's a video of it on Extreme.

Perfect as in nothing lower than FINE or Perfect as in nothing but COOL? The latter is WAY harder.

And yeah, I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I can only play on Hard mode because Normal is just WAY TOO SLOW.

The former. I'm pretty sure I would've broken both my controllers in rage on so treacherous a quest as the latter. MAYBE if I had a ton of time to kill, I'd try it on a song or two... maybe.

Finally, someone who understands my plight~
i am legitimately so happy that you uNDERSTANDDD

Weekender Girl is now my favorite Vocaloid song.

The Demo? I just went into the demo section and manually scrolled till I found it.

Dat video...I couldn't help but laugh. That person got a Perfect and I struggle with Normal. >_>; The highest I reach is maybe 60-70, then I goof and it throws everything off lol.

I figure this person must use the Miku controller for it. I think it'd be insanely difficult, even more so than it awready looks, without one and on the normal controller.

Practice makes perfect! AWRIGHT! I'LL GET THERE! I played Weekender Girl about 3 times last night on Normal and each time my score improved so I'm getting there. Its just Rhythm games are not my thing.

Question, KS. On your Vita version did you set up a separate PSN account to download new songs or are there enough songs to play it as it is?

The more I play it the more I like it, which is strange for me. xD

There are 32 songs, each available on four difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Hard, Extreme), so if you count each difficulty as a different song, there are 128. There's also an Edit Mode, which lets you make levels for your own songs and share them. That's plenty for me, though I never did manage to figure out Edit Mode.
