So, I'm playing 1.5

And I'm at the Chernanbog boss and my party members are basically useless. My brother is in here watching me play. He's nine. In the middle of the battle, he blurts out "Go Donald! Way to die!"

 

If it were my sisters, it would be the opposite.

 

I hate Donald and Goofy, Donald Especially, hes a D*ck, a massive one at that !

Only thing I bothered with them was giving them cool weapons so they look badass whenever I looked at em. That's it.

 

Donald and Goofy are usually pretty useful to me. Goofy can have devastating physical attacks and Donald actually always casts Aero on me which is cool.

 

On my first playthrough of KH I got stuck a lot, but Chernabog was one of my longest roadblocks lol. I haven't had too much trouble with him in later playthroughs, but I have to admit I am a bit afraid for when I reach him in 1.5.

 

I just fought him yesterday, he is pretty easy (on normal anyway). Cast aero and be sure to get out of the way when he raises the flames.

 

You've only really gotta dodge his flam cloak thing and you're fine. Come back to me with Sephiroth problems, and then I'll care, ha.

 

Have you ever considered customizing their AI options? Doing that can make them way more useful.

 

AI options? Like skills?

 

No, there's a menu for each of them under Customization that lets you set up when and how often they do certain things. For example, you can set up Donald to constantly use offensive spells and physical attacks while saving support spells and items for emergencies.

 

I've always left those on Personal myself.

Yeah, I don't get why people have problems. I customize them to my liking and that solves every problem it seems.

 

It's really a Catch-22 for me. If I have them not using healing items/magic more frequently and I always happen to be low on MP and that, then I can't get healed fast enough. Obviously is becomes more manageable when we have higher stats, but being on 0 EXP mode, it's like DDDD:
