Because humanity is falling apart and bad taste is taking over. And she doesn't even sing.

I've been told that I look like her, so I don't know if I should be insulted or not even bother.

She's not fake, she's enhanced. A lot of pop stars are enhanced.

10/10, good work op I'm mad.

She's #5 on iTunes right now because she makes what I call 'ringtone songs'. Songs that are popular for a short while and will soon lose their light. Ke$ha will NOT be remembered when she makes her next album and you can quote me on that. Just look at Soulja Boy who has released a second album and is on the way for a third. Nobody cares anymore because he's not 'the hot stuff' anymore.

Oh and also because losers who love the shitty mainstream songs help bump her up when you should be buying albums of far superior bands.

I agree with the top part.

    The bottom...
well, it's really all up to personal preference, really. If they like some of the **** mainstream puts out there, good for them. There's some I personally like, and there's some I don't. But at the end of the day, everyone will still have their favorite whatever-the-hell-it-is.

I think the problem is that nothing is really new anymore. 70s had funk and soul, the birth of metal. 80s had their own kind of pop stuff, heavy metal and thrash metal were getting big. 90s had grunge and hip-hop. The 2000s didn't really have anything new that made it big. I guess you could count electro getting bigger, I don't know. I don't really care. I can listen to the old stuff for the rest of my life.

    This^
I love mainstream music. It's meant to be popular and it is. Calling it **** just because it's popular is stupid.
And there are a few mainstream songs that have lasted a lot longer than others.

    As for ringtone songs...spot on.
I can't remember who was the rapper that talked about ringtone raps and Element 5, but he had a point.
Old school and underground > ringtone songs.

I sometimes flip through the music video channels because they sometimes have the old school videos on there. I lost all hope in mainsream hip-hop when I saw a rap song that went, "Yeah I wear skinny jeans, yeah I wear skinnies" I don't really know if there's much that can save it now.

I just stick to my style of music.
I listen to more of Internet radio/Pandora, which actually keeps the music in genre. Unlike the mainstream which play something like Metallica, then some local band that doesn't sound anything like it. I mean no offense to the Local band, but doing that makes me want to actaully no want to listen anymore.

But I do have some pretty were tastes. I like Folk/Acoustic, then Metal, then Techno.

Doesn't she sing that one p.diddy in the morning song?

That song is so annoying but so catchy D:

Everytime it's on the radio, I want to break the radio so badly, but I can't help but sing along.
