I still don't get how Firebenders bend lightning. I mean, lightning is air with a charge moving through it. Shouldn't that mean that Airbenders would be able to bend lightning?

 

Aang indeed can. he is an airbender. but also happens to be the Avatar.

There are no other Airbenders so there's no way to find out .-.

Oh, another one. Technically, Waterbenders should be a subset of Airbenders because of water vapor being a part of the air.

Same with Firebenders, since fire is created from reactions between gases in the air.

This means that there are really only two kinds of Benders. Earth and Air. The show was a lie.
