I will never understand WHY people get high... Especially in school. It just doesn't make sense to me :b

 

To be honest, it's something you don't understand until you try it.

Only idiots ever get addicted to it, or someone who generally have addictive personalities. Me and my friends at uni and at home smoke from time to time, and none of us have are now on the streets with ruined lives.

It's better to try and move on then to full on deny.

Unlike popular belief, weed is harmless. Try anything beyond weed then your just a ****ing idiot.

 

Well, I've never smoked before, and I don't intend on smoking ever. I just think it's kind of sad that people nowadays need help to feel good... I've gotten into many "arguments" about this with people I'm close with. So, i have an idea of what you might say back to this. I don't think less of you or anyone else as a person for smoking, because people like you are just going along with everyone else. And as long as something lie that is accessible then people are gonna utilize it. I think if they actually just stopped and they just thought about what they were doing and why, then they would maybe be able to understand how incredibly stupid it is.

But I'm sure you are an awesome,smart, amazing person anyways. Just sort of venting I guess. (:

 

Just going along with everyone else? I actually spent my whole first year of Uni saying no, until one day I decided to try to see what the fuss was about, simple as that. If a mates offers me a part of their joint I wouldn't say no, it's just an option not a lifestyle.

It's just something you do when you're with mates and want to add to the good time. Those who use it to 'help feel good' have issues before using weed.

Don't want to smoke? Fair enough. Some people drink other's don't. I'm not trying to make you smoke but I'm just trying to say there is so much more to it than just 'helping you feel good' and being a sheep.

I just dont understand why anyone would take the risk. Who is to say that weed won't lead to something else. You never know what you might do when put into a situation, and once in that situation if you make the wrong choice it might be too late to turn back. I'm not sayig what you're doing will destory your life. I could die tomorrow and you could live to be 90... but the choices yyou make change your life. You have to be careful. I seen drugs and all that crap destroy peoples lives. It's not something anyone would be proud of.

I may just be a stupid 16 year old girl, but I'm just saying this because I care. Just make sure you think about what your doing before you do it.

 

That's not just drugs though. That's just life in general. You're put in a situation, you react. You don't necessarily have to be high to do those things.

Well, yes, of course. But doing drugs, and getting into that scene you befriend certain people. Introducing different drugs... alcohol... If you don' know when to stop it ould be life altering. It's just something to think about :D

Risk? Yeah a risk is there. Just like there is a risk to gaming or drinking.

The effects of weed aren't as big as you may think. Yes people do get affected by it and it ends up ruining lives. Games are also additive, some people play games and it ends up consuming their life. So are you not going to play the next Gears of War because of that risk of addiction, because who says that game won't lead to something else? Obviously not as many people get addicted to gaming as they do weed nor is it as big of an issue, but you get my point.

Long term abuse? very bad of course, but those are so few.

I have thought about it before doing it many many times (why do you think I didn't smoke during my whole first year) and you know what, my life hasn't changed in anyway, smoking doesn't automatically change you. Be smart and you will be fine.

 

There's a kid in my Geometry class who tries to offer me stuff. He's all, "dude you shfould smoke sthome weed, man. You'll sthleep great and feel good, man."

And he's constantly high and asking to see what the homework was so he can copy it. :D​

 

Keeping it simple: Blame the person, not the substance.

Wow, this ended up being a more intense conversation then I expected it to be. ahah I think you're gettig the impression that I'm trying to say that everyone that does drugs is a horrible person and will one day have horrible lives or die and go to hell... Thats not what I"m saying. Just trying to get a different perspective on things. Plus, I love having little debates/conversations like this. I always feel like I walk away with SOMETHING useful in the end.

As for gaming addiction... there is NOTHING wrong with that!! I plan on having a future with that!! ><

 

Oh, I don't think you think everyone who smoke is a bad person.

I get both perspectives and have been on both sides. I just fall on the side of casual smoking is a ok.
