and wow. yous ee, for weeks i've been playing kh2 nonstop, and today i decided to play the origonal kh. now, i haven't played it since chain of memories was released.

and geez, it took getting used to again. the reaction command system was much better than the menu option system, which took me almost an hour to re-learn. the graphica also felt disappointing. well, not the graphics, but..............what i mean is, in hollow bastion, when that cage appears to take you to the castle, the characters disappear and reappear on it. in kh2, they would have actually jumped up on it. the textures looked more realistic, though.

i also had forgotten about some areas. for example, atlantica being an actual world, halloween town being bigger, never land, monstro, and especially hallow bastion. i missed the rising falls, and they really should have gone with the origonal plan for kh2 and had hallow bastion actually take place inside the castle.

so, yeah, that was my little rant. just had to get it off my chest.

True Dat, I tried to beat the first one for my sister who hasn't beat it. I gave up on the Riku battle, it was weird.

I'm worse. I got KH2 first and finished that one before ordering the original online.
Took some getting used to alright. I missed using the triangle button for abilites instead of scrolling down every time (and getting killed before I even get to use the attack) and it took some getting used to that I could no longer use the analog stick to move the camera....like on most other games I played.

I beat KH2 in about a week I think and got KH maybe a month ago, still haven't beaten it... (I'm at the final battle though, just need to raise my levels a little bit and I'm trying to get the secret ending)

I prefer KH1 to KH2 by far; while they were both pretty much button-mashers, at least KH1 took an eensy bit of skill to block attacks. In KH2 you could just mash on X and /\ alternately, and win every single battle.

    i finished them all in oreder, kh1 - khcom - kh2.

but yes i do prefer the kh1 combat system cause its less of a button masher

    KH1-KH2-COM(unfinished)
personally although it takes a LONG time to get used to KH1 once you have you have the ability to PWN anything in your path (i beat Sephy 1st try after playing KH2 for a LOOOOOONG time)
personally KH2 is my fav but i still have to work on COM
I could rant about getting used to COM.... (Just Kidding)

com was pretty easy to get used too, actualy.

also, sora's voice sounds so young compared to his kh2 voice.

    I played them in order:

KH I > KH: COM > KH II

I prefer KH I because the battle system is less user-friendly than KH II.

i think kh1 was better than kh2, cuz it was more challenging, huge worlds, magical, and donald and goofy werent useless. i died alot of times in kh1, but kh2, lik nevr. 2day i was thinking about kh1 and how i missed it. i havent played it in lik half a year. u could fly in a world, swim in a world, so much fun. it had replay value. but i do love kh2. espcially twilight town, the song iz so sad-lik, it makes me kinda cry inside. im gonna play it 2morow. it was way less linear. hollow bastion, i remebr geting lost in there lol. i would actually feel lik my friends (donald n goofy at least) were my power wen i played. i did need their help. and theyd heal u and make the battle less dependant on u. the summon i miss iz tinkerbell, shed save u once if u almost die.

    good times :D lol

wtf?! why is everybody stuck at the riku battle its easy jus equip one of your best albilityand u got donald and goofy by ur side wait....o u guys r talking about the riku/ansem battle ok when he dash jus jump and hit him from the back if he gets u hard jus use your potion equip alot of exlir and hi-potion too

i kinda dont like kh1 anymore i mean it confuse me i beat khI then khII after i beat khII i started going back playing khI which i have already beat it starting to get kinda old i mean what sucks is there's no skip scene buttom what's most confusing is that the jimmy journel has no to-do next thing and the reaction buttom i got use to it and well its harder without it!!o and the graphic comparing to khII when sora locks the world it looks so much better even the outside part looks crappy and in khI its jus poor
khII is better than khI,khI is like more harder than khII like 10x more!

and that damn freakin' hollow bastion i got so freakin' confuse where u have to go glide in that tunnel to go where you beat maleficent gawd i hate that part i actually fell to the buttom =_= and had to get back up...
but i remember how i love to glide :D and all the good summons and the training spot :D that was the best part and the party hp member were alot easier to read instead of circle and khI was challenging i like that the best and synesizing was more easier i cant tell where there was a bunch of list and number and letter that says sabc i mean wth does that mean?!

    I played them in order.
Except for CoM, it's so hard to find in England X| and I can't shop on the internet 'cause my parents got their credit details stolen and they're paranoid it'll happen again ¬_¬ lol

I heard of KH about a year before KH2 was released in Europe (ie late september 2005), and i thought it looked pretty cool, but then I forgot for a while :/ lol. Then I saw the first game at a shop in about January so I got it and I loved it so much! :D
In the first game, there's so many little things you don't notice and loads of side quests during gameplay, and some things I didn't notice until my 3rd or 4th playthrough, eg the locations of all the boxes of evidence in Wonderland, and if you complete them you get Blizzard early. I also noticed the thing when you complete Deep Jungle before Wonderland where Alice is replaced by Snow White. And I was surprised to see the Nightmare Before Christmas appear too, having not heard much about the series before I bought it. My favourite world was probably Neverland, I was sad to see it not return in KH2 :(
My favourite boss fight in the first one is probably Riku-nort, it's just so epic, Sora fighting his best friend to save the heart of the girl that it is not so subtlely hinted that he loves XD. It was a really emotional fight and is probably my favourite in the whole of the series.

And then Kingdom Hearts 2 came out in Europe finally, I don't know why it takes so long as it's exactly the same as the American version :/
I really loved playing as Roxas, it made me want to live in a place like Twilight Town :( lol. I don't understand why the intro with Roxas has been heavily criticezed, I loved it. I was pretty confused about why Sora was asleep, cause I hadn't played CoM, but as I got the Secret Ansem Reports I understood.
But once we were playing as Sora again I was pretty glad. Except I hated going to Yen Sid's tower, his voice did my head in. It's so...husky. *shivers*

    "NOBODIIIIESHHSHH!"

    :|

    haha
Other than that, the game was amazing, but too easy. I loved Port Royal, one of my favourite films was finally included :) I just hope they keep it, I love the fight with Barbossa, I just wish he was much more difficult. I was pretty surprised by Tron (I try not to look at spoilers, I like being surprised. I hadn't seen any evidence that this was in KH2), having randomly watched it in the summer. I knew it was a Disney film but I wasn't sure how it would fit into Kingdom Hearts, but it worked perfectly. The fights with the MCP or Oogie Boogie were definately the best Disney fights, but my favourite boss fight was Xaldin, because it was actually a pretty difficult fight for me the firrst time round for a change.

I can't actually decide which is my favourite :/ they both have their good points and faults which cancel each other out lol.

    Order of completion
    KH-KHCoM-KH2.
I Liked KH1 the best, because well i don't really know.
    It was Harder to finish.
Think i died 3 times vs Clayton in Deep Jungle.
2 times vs The Giant Oogie Boogie.
    2 times vs Giant Ursula.
    1 time vs Captain Hook.
    2 times vs Maleficent.
    6 times vs Maleficent Dragon.
8 times vs Riku-Nort. (That was hard)
    4 times vs Chernabog.
    5 times vs 2nd Ansem.
    1 time vs Cerberus.
    16 times vs Sephiroth.
In KHCoM i died against Vexen (1 time i think)
Alot of times against riku Replica 3 three times as much against 4.
A couple of times against Larxene just as many against Marluxia 1st & 2nd and twice against Axel.
In KH2 I only died once or twice never got to play as Mickey.:(
