And holy **** it's awesome haha. I'm only like an hour and a half in, but holy crap, the gameplay mechanics are so are good, being able to switch between your party members is so good, and having your party not being completely useless is a big plus, too.

My only problem with it is that the story seems uninteresting and I'm not too hot about having 12 playable party characters, since I feel as though I would be switching them in and out so much that I won't feel attached to any of them, or even care to learn most of their names.

But overall, it seems like fun. Anyone else play it?

I believe some fans released their own English translation of the game two days before Square announced they would be releasing it in English officially lol.

But anyway, I've played some of the Japanese version and I think it's okay, reminds me a bit of Crisis Core, which I found quite enjoyable. The game crashed about halfway through and I didn't even bother with restarting it again, so I really only know what's going on based on my own understanding of Japanese haha. But yeah, I felt the story could have been presented better.

But tis quite fun, I actually kinda like all of the characters, their personalities being somewhat distinct from each other. They could have done without Rem and Machina tho, but eh whatevs :x

Yeah, they finished it around 2 weeks ago completely translated. I completed the japanese version with difficulty the ending is just awe but amazingly done, I won't say anything it's just beautiful though.

Anyways here's a link to the English patch

You might wanna edit out that link, since we're not allowed to post links to illegal ****, like pirated games.

Also, they have a character named Deuce. Hehhehehe.

Thank you! I'll pick up the actual game on the way back from my rum run.[DOUBLEPOST=1403279975][/DOUBLEPOST]
But it's not the game, just the patch.

Type-0 is the best Final Fantasy ever. I've played the demo and know the entire story(as well as things that happen in the prequel manga). So...yeah. Machina's the best. I'll be changing my name to it again when the release date(whenever it is) gets closer.

    Also, it's 14 playable characters. Not 12.

I loved playing as machina but at the same time I felt he was so slow when it came to combo's :C

Wouldn't mind playing it, but I'll just wait for the HD version on PS4

(it might not have been completed on this date) but I heard that it came out on the same day the HD remake was announced. I felt so bad for the team that worked on making that patch.

The patch was released the day before the remake was announced. I wouldn't feel bad for the team if I were you. At the end of the day, we end up getting a superior version of the original game released getting localized. So it's a win for the fanbase.

Machina's strength lies in Assault Mode. And the fact that he has some of the best stats out of every character. ...Also the startup of his first attack is pretty fast so it makes getting those kill sights pretty easy.

It's a win for the fanbase but I know personally how hard it is to do what they did, and now it's not nearly as "good" because most people are just going to wait for the remake instead of playing the patched version of the game that they made.

The patch is so well done as well, It's like proffesional standard in my eyes they have nearly EVERYTHING translated and instead of the two disc ISO Type-0 I had to play back in 2012 this is all in one ISO though the only trouble I've had with the patch is that sometimes when opening the red book (cannot remember the name for the life of me cause I JUST woke up from a nap) which basically holds the character files and history and etc. it sometimes hangs the game when opening the red book but that might just be my issue other than that since I completed it back in 2012 I've just picking at playing through slowly whenever i'm bored when I initially played it I honestly couldn't believe the graphical quality of the game, It definitely belonged on a console in my eyes especially because camera controls were really hard because they were the directional pad not R and L as those were to reset the camera and adjust team mid battle and so forth so personally I think it's good they've decided to make a console port but it really feels like developers are giving up on the vita..the only reason right now I see to keep my vita is; Persona 4 golden , Super danganronpa and SAO Hollow fragments so I feel like selling it honestly but I'll probably keep it for SDR and then sell it :/
