So, I just got Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS.

Is it worth Playing?

 

IT IS WORTH PLAYING THROUGH AND THEN DOING IT AGAIN TO SEE HOW MUCH YOU MISSED AND THEN AGAIN JUST BECAUSE

Abyss is one of my favorite games ever oh man. The story is engaging with a lot of twists that keep you on the edge of your seat in the first playthrough, and there's a looot of sidequests to do to keep from getting bored (some are only avaliable in a second playthrough though). The characters are really well done, and all of them get relatively equal amounts of character development in overt and subtle ways (and the ladies have interesting plotlines to boot). Replayability is quite high, and the soundtrack is fairly good.

It's also one of four games to make me cry, so

it's a pretty long game but it is so worth it and you will enjoy it i hope
feel free to come to me during your playthrough and talk about your theories and/or cry a lot 8)

 

I'm mildly amused that you got it and then asked this question instead of the other way around lol

but yes +1 it is worth it and there's not much else I can say that Plums has not covered

i got plums into it and he's never been the same

 

this game has victimized me and it felt so bad but so good

J/k, never played Abyss, fully intend to when I get a 3DS, still more so looking forward to a Symphonia HD remake for Ps3, favourite in the series.

 

Soon as I get a newer PS console I'm going to have to get Xillia, Vesperia, and Symphonia. I've got a lot of gaming time ahead of me
