This is going to be the thing take will stare at me every night for the foreseeable future http://www.target.com/p/element-40-...k-eleft406/-/A-14463240#?lnk=sc_qi_detaillink Managed to use my discounts and get it for $231. Even had my dad check for TVs just to be sure, so I don't have any bad feelings about buying this either.
Don't stare at it. Get Netflix and watch things on your own time. Don't conform to the cable schedule! (Unless it's a great ongoing show like Game of Thrones. If you have the channel.)
If you've never watched anything on a 120 Hz TV before, it might be a little strange at first and make you want to throw it out of a window. I'm one of those people that just can't get over it because I'm so used to how 60 Hz looks. Everything above 60 Hz gives me this feeling that everything is shot on a camcorder. You can turn the option off, so if you end up hating it as well, there's that.
