So, I had that long conversation,And he confused me again.

I told him that he was really confusing me, and that I was getting a bit sick of the lies, flirting ect.
So, we talked a bit about where our relationship was going, and he told me that he has a certain insurance, that makes him unable to date me, since I'm under 18, and he is 18.
This confused me, as I was certain that, you can date under-18s, aslong as you werent actually doing certain things with them.
And then he rang me later that same night.
So we talked some more, and he told me he wanted me to be his girlfriend. I asked him about his insurance, and he told me that aslong as he'd been dating me for a certain period of time, it was allowed. He's getting his insurance in October...
I told him that I needed to think on it..
Can anyone help me on what I need to do? It's been confusing me for days...]

 

Poor you...He tried dumping you just because you were under 18...How old are you? It shouldn't matter if he loves you then what should it matter?

 

If someoneover 18 dates someone under 18 said under 18 year old can file a complaint on rape, or said under 18 year olds parents. It shouldn't mtter though, if they love you.

 

Im almost 15...
However, we had almost been dating since I was like, 12, and he was 15/16...It didnt matter then...And then once he turned 17/18....Big problems started...=/
EDIT: My parents are sort of okay with him, and I wouldn't file a complaint on Rape...

 

You love him he loves you... YOur not exactly gonna file a complaint about rape are you? So what is his problem?

 

Then there shouldn't be much of an issue. I can see how he would be worried, however.

 

weeeell..... he definitely lied to you. I don't know, it sounds strange that he would say something like that, It kinda makes me uneasy about him....

I can see two different scenarios from this. the first you might not like, please don't get mad at me for it. oh, and I'm guessing that he is over 18 here.

so he turned you down because he thought you were too young for him. I'm not saying that this is the case, but when a guy turns a girl down because they are under 18, well that could have a certain hidden meaning to it, if you know what I mean. ok so then he goes and talks to his friends and tells them what happened, cause that is what a lot of us guys tend to do. his friends say to him, "YOU DID WHAT?! You kidding me, I would go out with her even if she is under 18!" his friends eventually persuade him, so he calls you up and says yeah sure i'll do it!

the second scenario is basically the same, except the reason he turned you down was because he thought he would be considered a pedophile if he dated you and his friends told him "no, its ok".

I could be wrong about this, because I tend to look to deeply into things, but that excuse just makes me feel uneasy about him.
