so i got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out a few hours ago

and this really sucks lol i hate this my mouth is puffy i feel gross this is horrible!!

have any of you guys gotten your wisdom teeth removed?? lmk how long i should expect to feel like this bc it's the worst tbh

 

damn I remember that feeling expect about 2-4 days to feel like that. Eat a lot of ice cream, soup, anything soft really.

 

Fun fact: I got my wisdom teeth removed while I was rehearsing for a summer theater show I believe four years ago?

Mashed potatoes and yogurt were my only dishes for a good while. The best part is learning how much you can bleed in a day!

 

Hello. Got all four of mine out as well, about a year ago. Expect to not be able to eat for three days.

Actually, expect to feel like crap for about two weeks, until the stitches fall out.

 

I had mine removed last summer and it was hell, but I had some complications w/ the healing process. I'm just unlucky lol. The worst of it should pass in a few days & I think most people are back to normal in a couple weeks or so! Feel better soon~
When I had mine out I seem to recall having lots of soft cold stuff like milkshakes. I also somehow watched all nine seasons of The Office. It's all kind of a vague sleepy blur lol but that's what I'd recommend doing I guess.

 

mines haven't grown in and I hope they never do.

I saw a wisdom tooth extraction video on facebook that was of actual footage from the inside of someone's mouth and it was horrifying

I went to the dentist a while ago cause I have one wisdom tooth that was causing pain. Turns out I just don't have bottom wisdom teeth, like they'll never come in. Kinda weird. My top ones are doing fine apparently.

 

I actually nee my wisdom teeth removed, but mine aren't too bad where I'm in constant pain.

Although, I DID have a college freshmen that I trained. An this poor boy was in constant pain. Finally after two weeks he was able to get them removed. An bless this child, he came into his scheduled shift that evening. He still had the gaze in and everything. (i sent him home within 15 minutes) BUT we had a hayday while he was there. He was trying to explain how he would whip a computer clean of it's contents and install certain programs (he slurred his words) and said he used a magic sword to rid the computer of it's "bad stuff". Ah, goo times.

I hope it passes soon though! From what I've seen, you can bounce back an feel better within the week. C: Looking forward to your recovery!

 

I got all 4 out at once. My face swelled up like a chipmunk. and I accidentally ate one of my stitches.

Everyone reacts differently to it. I know someone who didn't get any swelling. Just take the time to clean them really well.

 

mine are coming in. I like chewing twizzlers with them

Al's mom used to be a dental assistant and after my tooth started hurting she checked my mouth and I have one wisdom tooth coming in. She gave me some cream and it helped a lot.

 

I remember getting mine removed. Afterwards my mouth bled so much more than the average person I was switching out the padding in my mouth every 20 minutes compared to the average hour. Plus I didn't eat anything for the next 72 hours, and only survived on water. It was painful. And of course once you start eating you have to make sure you wash out the back of your mouth so no food stays in the spots where the teeth were. It's an experience, I'll say that much
