So I figured now that Breaking Bad is over I should start watching it.

I'm in the middle of the first episode and I'm at the scene where Walt Jr. is trying on pants and there are the guys making fun of him. This is too painful, I can't watch.

Well I suppose if anyone saw the struggle it is to get into tight pants when you're bloating, they would probably laugh. But I meant more the 'trying on poor people clothes' thing.

This is a good, safe environment. We aren't laughing... smirking maybe, but not laughing.

Also, just to make sure I'm not offended, what do we mean by poor people clothes here?

Cheap stuff, secondhand stuff, etc. Obviously not only poor people wear them, but sadly, it's the only option for some people.
Oh no I think that the show is beautifully done, by the writers, the crew, and the actors. I just disagree with some of the stances it took and think it's overhyped. But I also know I'm not the target audience.

Yeah, I totally get that. People had been telling me that it was a show I needed to watch for a long time, but the whole "making meth" thing kinda turned me off to it. It wasn't until someone who has similar taste as me made the analogy that the show was basically a show about a guy becoming a super-villain. That kinda put things in perspective and I'm glad I gave it a shot. Obviously I don't condone everything Walter does, but looking at it as a guy's descent into... bad-guy-ness... makes it very interesting.

Oh definitely. It's more a story about power, control, and manipulation than it is about meth. It's not a crime show really, unless you count Hank's investigations. Meth really is just a plot device, sometimes a symbol.

I thought season five was a bit meh, though made my heart hurt, of course. I think the saddest thing, for me, in the show was .

You will probably like the show, and yet you will lose 30% of the buzz, one of the points of a show like this is to watch, comment and make theories about it while is on going.. now that the show is over you'll miss this chance, even if you think ahead and talk to some one about it no one will care/believe ...

Meth isn't the major aspect of the series, truth be told it could be changed for any illegal activity (for the moral conflict, thus "breaking bad") that used Walter's brain to fuel his ego while touching aspects of family.

If it makes you feel any better my only pair of non cargo/work pants are a pair of skinnys I've had for about four years now, and my almost 100kg gut almost doesn't fit them.

I just started watching a couple of weeks ago, finished season 4 the other day. I think the show is ****ing brilliant. For those that have watched the show, I was stunned by this scene. It's so incredible. One of the best scenes in television or film I've ever experienced. Goddamn.

This one was pretty freaky. It's a lot worse when you're watching at 4am when your entire family is asleep, too, lol.

This was one of my favorite scenes though. It helps that I like the song, but I think it was one of the first big Heisenberg moments (my other favorite being 'the one who knocks' scene).

It's funny because that's exactly what I was doing yesterday.
