I think most of us are ok with using Smogon's OU rules as a basis for our own and then making changes that we all agree on.

    OverUsed
OverUsed, or OU, is Smogon's standard tier. The highest level of play is generally seen in this tier, and it is the basis for all other tiers. The most powerful Pokémon are banned from this tier up to Ubers. Pokemon cannot rise from OU to Ubers based on usage. Most of the cover legendaries in addition to select other Pokémon are on the banlist.

    Play Restrictions
    • Endless Battle Clause: Any moveset on any Pokémon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play. Thus:
      • A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish.
      • A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry and carry Recycle and Pain Split on its moveset.
      • A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry and carry Recycle and Fling on its moveset.
    • Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are not permitted in play.
    • Moody Clause: Pokémon with the ability Moody are not permitted.
    • OHKO Clause: A Pokemon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold in its moveset.
    • Sleep Clause: Only one Pokémon may be put to sleep on the opposing team at a time, if not induced by a move such as Rest.
    • Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
    • Pokémon may be up to level 100.

I disagree with banning Blaziken completely. The only time I've really felt that one had an unfair advantage was with its Hidden Ability, Speed Boost, or Mega Evolution (which also gives it Speed Boost.) A Blaziken with the Blaze ability seems fine to me.

I also think Kyurem in all of its forms should be banned. It's got really high stats and many strong moves. Not exactly as bad as, say, Yveltal, but still pretty overpowered if you ask me.

Do you want to stick with the "victor in case of both Pokemon fainting" rules I made up?

We can tweak it however we want.

I like it as it is. I doubt it's a rule we'll need to consult very often, but as it stands I think it covers everything that needs to be covered and does it fairly.

That's basically a submission-like rule. If you use something like Self-destruct, or explosion when you both only have one pokemon left, it's counted as giving up and the other person wins.

That rule is basically the same rule used in the official Pokemon video game tournaments, though tweaked a bit.

....reading it again, I might have to change my proposed rule on those situations a little.

Blaziken is in the Ubers tier because of it's hidden ability. I've never seen anyone use a Blaziken with Blaze competitively and I cant find a set beyond D/P that recommends it.

Well, someone might want to still use a Blaze ability Blaziken without its Mega Stone. I don't think we'd be against it, but what do you think?

I'm not against banning the speed boost ability on blaziken and moving blaze blaziken to OU if that's what you're saying

It is what I'm saying :P

Anyone else want to comment on keeping Blaziken unbanned, so long as it has the Blaze ability and no Mega Stone?

I mean without Speed Boost he immediately becomes less threatening so I think that's pretty fair.
though i have to wonder how many people have a Blaziken without speed boost

Why use Blaze though when speed boost is superior and literally given to you in the games? What sets do you use on them?

I don't use speed boost because I hate how overpowered it is, I enjoy a challenge. And I'd have to check my 3DS, I run some pretty weird ****. I just like to have my options open.

When do you use these Blazikens? In casual battles with friends, in the game's story, or in competitive battles with people online?

    Happy 20 questions.

When I do anything online I will never run speed boost, and I like to just rotate certain strategies and teams so certain pokemon I have more than one in my box so if I wanted to just swap it out real quick, I can.

Yeah, I get that, but I don't see a reason to not use it with speed boost in a competitive environment. Competitive itself IS a challenge and 99% of the people you play against are going to be using the best pokemon they are allowed to use, so you're just kinda putting yourself at a disadvantage.
