Corey Taylor is the only member of Slipknot worth anything.

They're alright, but to name my favourite song by them it would have to be... God, I hate that, when you try and think of something and then it just leaves your head completely... I can not remember the name XD

Vermillion pt.2 is their greatest song for the fact that it's acoustic.

Pretty awesome instrument work, but Corey's singing is much better in Stone Sour. Less screaming and more actual singing :3

Also, I remember drawing them for a kid in grade school once. Their masks make them impossible to take seriously.

I swear I have replied to a Slipknot thread on here before o_O

    I do adore his voice.

I will agree to this, that is the only song I actually love to a million tiny pieces.

I do like Slipknot, but, they aren't a group that I scream about constantly, I listen to them when I listen to them but I no longer search them out if that makes sense?

Vermillion pt.2 always makes me kind of sadly nostalgic. It reminds me of one of my old friends that I don't get to talk to much anymore.

Snuff is my all time fave. it holds so much emotion in the lyrics alone, and with corey singing it, it is just sensational. I love that song to bits.

    I'm a true maggot!

I have all their CD's, 6 shirts, and all 9 autographs!! I hate how everyone is becoming fans just now! They are truely my favorite metal band to this day. I have a very special bond with them! From Self titled to All Hope Is Gone I've been a HUGE fan!!

If you want to "hear slipknot sing" I suggest you check out Stone Sour. That's singer Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour.

Joey Jordison has world class drum skills and often plays drums for Metallica and has a side band called Murder Dolls where he plays guitar.

Sid Wilson aka DJ Starscream played in the death note movie

Shawn Crahan is a world class photographer always traveling the world in search of rare sites.

Craig Jones... scary guy. Never talks. nah he's very talkitive with his friends but to everyone else he gives the silent treatment no matter what.

Mick Thompson doesn't get the credit he deserves as one of the best guitarists in the world.

Jim Root plays in Stone Sour along side Corey Taylor and joins Jonathan Davis and the SFA on a few of there songs such as their cover of "Got Money" (Way better then the original)

Chris Fehn has incredible drumming skills and does back up screaming on self titled and All Hope Is Gone.

Paul Gray is one of my personal favorite bass players and takes over as lead screamer/growler when Corey's voice gets to hoarse.

Stone Sour was way before Slipknot for the record.

Slipknot was started by a bunch of odd people. Paul Gray, Shawn Crahan, Anders Colsefini, Greg Welts, Josh Brainard and Donnie Steele. They were the original members. They have heard that famous Iowa underground band Stone Sour has broken up and they recall specifically how talented Corey was. They found Corey working at a sex shop and they walked around in their original masks which didn't scare Corey, but interested him. "Just who the hell are you guys" they approached him and started talking in a stark voice to freak him out then they asked if he could take over as lead vocals. He decided to give a crack at music again. Anders soon became back up vocals. They recorded their first demo known as Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. and it was good but they wanted to make a few adjustments. Anders left because he was growing furious at Corey and took off making Greg Welts leave as well. Then Donnie became this religious nut and left while Josh has made some very bad unclear decisions and left. So now it was just Corey, Paul, and Shawn so they had to find some members quick! Corey called up his Stone Sour buddies and none of them wanted to be in Slipknot because the believed to strongly about Stone Sour except for Jim Root who invited his new friend Mick Thompson to play as lead while he played as rhythm. Soon enough more and more people formed the knot and released CROWZ and their first 5 official songs.

Josh and Corey have a Tenacious D cover band known as Adacious P.

Corey taylor is in my sig.

Also I was the guy who made that thread but it vanished because nobody cared for Slipknot until All Hope Is Gone.

I'm not a huge Slipknot fan but their music is pretty good. I found one of their CDs somewhere and listened to it, it was a good CD to listen to when you're mad about something, lol. The songs I like are Psychosocial, Left Behind, Wait and Bleed, and Duality.

EDIT: And there's already a Slipknot topic here.

EDIT DOS: And they're Iowan. Not "Sweadish".
