Announcement trailer released today. Have to say, loved the trailer. It doesn't show any gameplay but its pretty damn sweet! Looks like its Square's and United Front Games take on True Crime. http://www.sleepingdogs.net/
...I don't like the trailer. It doesn't show anything outside of live action stuff. Nothing in game. Not even a cinematic. Square really likes keeping things quiet. Though after I clicked the link and saw the(very few) screenshots of the game...I suppose I'll keep an eye out for this game. I don't have very high hopes for it though.
If you want gameplay, here you go. It was a cancelled Activision game, and now Square Enix is picking it up. This isn't what the game will end up looking like now that there's a new developer, but this will be the foundation of it.
Oh hey it's my cousins fighting each other I'm quite happy that there is a different place where games are being made right now. Nothing like GTA's NYC or San Andreas blah blah blah. It really depends if they put the crappy stereotypes on it.. it will piss me off. It looks interesting but I have to wait and see if it makes an appearance at E3
I had heard Activision cancelled True Crime but I hadn't realised Square and UFG were picking it up. It seems like such a weird pair up though. The only game I'm aware UGF having developed is ModNation Racers. Seems like a big change from what they're used to. But I'm gonna keep an eye on this since I used to love the old True Crime games.
