You did well. I think that blending wasn't that necessary, and you did great in positioning and it looks like she's flying. I'd say your blending still can use some work, but this is really good.
This is quite lovely. Normally I really despise warm colors, but it looks very nice in here. I really love what's going on in the upper left corner, too. :B As for suggestions towards improvement, a tiny bit of blending would be welcome, and maybe a bit of text. Playing off the splatters towards the mid-bottom would look good, I think. A tad bit more detail in some places too, but that will come with time. Working towards maintaining a consistent light scheme could help you too, but that can be difficult.
