I'm excited about these two bands and their new albums coming out soon:
Awake (Skillet) and Welcome To The Masquerade (TFK).

Yeah I'm Christian too, and I like both TFK and Skillet, but I don't like the bands BECAUSE I'm Christian. I just like them for their sound. For me, the fact that they're Christian is just an added bonus :3

 

True this. Besides, even if a song is rather opinionated or one-sided we still don't have to agree with its lyrics to enjoy it. Take Sam Sparro's "Black And Gold" for example. Beautiful song, even though the lyrics directly question evolution which I firmly believe in.
It's the same with Christian rock. No, I won't accept Jesus. Yeah, I know you bask in God's love and whatnot, piss off. But thanks for the cool songs anyway.

 

There's some bands I listen to (like Red and Anberlin) that I didn't know were Christian until I saw them on my friend's iPod. (Said friend thinks that any music not by a Christian artist is evil and must burn. With the exception of Utada for some reason.) I would still love them the same if they weren't Christian. Just because the members happen to all share the same faith doesn't mean they try to force it on anyone.

In short, I'm Christian, I like the bands, but not because of the Christian aspect.​

 

I used to listen to both of these bands a lot, but now I've sorta lost interest in the things they sing. I mean, both of them are good bands, it's just that I've started leaning towards different styles of music instead of those. Maybe if I heard anything new then I'd get back into them, who knows.

I've wanted to go to a concert for years...

I don't really have a favorite TFK song, but all the songs on Skillet's Comatose album I know by heart. 8D

I've been centered on "The Last Night" for the past few days.​

That whole CD is amazing!

 

One time, I got bored, so I locked myself in my room for a couple of days (coming out only to eat every once in a while; I had a bathroom connected to my room because it was technically a guest room) and played the CD over and over constantly.

First Skillet song I ever heard was Whispers in the Dark.

Don't remember what my first TFK song was though...​

 

I think Skillet is too over-rated to be honest... Thousand Foot just seems to click more with me... They always have a good beat to their songs and i can always find a song to fit the mood Im in...
