Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue rumoured to be downloadable on the PSN and XBLA

My only quarrel is there's no mention if it's Arcadia Legends or just Arcadia, because Legends is the superior version with additional content, I'd accept just. Arcadia though

I'll be very happy if this rumour is true - freaking love Skies of Arcadia, and I haven't played Shenmue for such a very long time.

I really do love how companies are bringing out these old classics, SENSUALLY.

 

It's funny how recently, i've been more excited for HD remakes and collections to come out than I am for new releases, sort of worrying but ohwell, still do get good games nowadays, dat nostalgia though.

I never played Legends fo Arcadia. I remeber when they re-released it for the Gamecube, but I never picked it up.

Now might be my chance to get a copy.

Im not sure what Legends added, but I know it added in Wanted battles, which are a really huge part of side questing and really fun battles over all, not sure what else is different between the two.

One of their outfits was altered to be less revealing? Now Im curious.

Piastol is a Legends exclusive? Oh she's like my favourite side plot in the game aswell, I really hope the XBLA version will be the legends version, even if they do a Sonic Adventure and make the directors cut a bit extra, it's totally worth it.

 

Well, what I would be hoping for is all the new features and additions with none of the censorship. Best of both worlds, y'know?

Yeah, I'm not too fussed about the censored stuff of smoking and alcohol, common practise back in the day, I really doubt they'd remove the censor, since its Seeeeegaaaaa.

 

Well, sure, but it was mostly because it was on a Nintendo console. I think it's rather prudish to censor smoking. Especially since it's a classic game and it would change the feel of the game. Maybe not substantially, but it's the little things, y'know?

 

Yeah I get ya, as long as Piastol and the Wanted battles are there I'm totally happy, I'd pay extra for them too, so much fun.

 

Trust me, I concur. The thing is, it wasn't because it was on a Nintendo console. Example? Nintendo PUBLISHED Eternal Darkness and Geist. The reason being is that SEGA thought it'd connect with Nintendo's already established audience easier.

They also removed A LOT of things that led players to believe the game was influenced by Wicca

Shenmue really needs a sequel. Badly. I'm hoping that this will sell decently and they might revist the franchise. Not sure what the state of the IP is though.

 

I never actually played the first Shenmue, but I did play the second one to deeeeath when i was younger, I look forward to playing Shenmue 1, and maybe they'll release Shenmue 2 on XBLA at a later date to revisit that game aswell.
