Site News Site Update: KH-Vids Radio is Now Live!

It has a button under "Media"

 

Well, it doesn't really stand out and it doesn't exactly go with the archives.

 

Neither does the gallery or the podcasts, really. But the radio is still a "media" offering. We did think about giving it its own button but decided against it, as the navigation is growing a little cramped. It does need to be reworked/rethought, though.

NOT SURE IF IT'S JUST ME but I think it might be a bug?

Basically, sometimes when I turn on the radio it'll start BLASTING REALLY LOUD, and I'll reload the page and it'll be normal. I'm pretty sure it's not my computer.

 

Argh. I even looked for it there and I couldn't find it.

 

Radio Suggestion:
Adding KHV Chorus Songs to the Radio!​

So, I had told Makaze that I was listening to the KHV Chorus songs today and he said that they should be a part of the slew of songs that plays on the radio. It would be a proper thing, seeing as the songs are made by the members of the KHV community, buying credit lost from it not being Square Enix music.

I'm sure that many other members would +1 this idea as well, but some others who prefer not to hear the (in some others' opinions) not so fantastical singing voices might not be so wholly supportive. It doesn't have to be song after song, maybe one here, another five to ten songs later, no big deal. Not to mention there's a plentiful surplus of songs so that they won't be repeated so many times.

I don't see why it wouldn't work out, unless the availability of the mp3s is a set back, but a simple video converter, FLV to mp3, ought to do the job.

 

I think we discussed this already and wanted to add them--though there's no way (that I know of) to make them appear every few songs. They'd just be added in with the 1500 or so songs already in the shuffle, and would appear randomly. But I can just talk to Jayn, I'm sure she has the MP3s, and then Mark can just add them to the streamer.

 

I think she meant when adding them as they get completed, but I'm not sure.

 

Could you make a thread where we can suggest Songs? (Like a real Radio station where you let the listeners choose what they want to hear.)

 

Mark ran a request hour a week or so ago? It will hopefully become a regular thing, once we establish a show schedule (which we will do). If there are soundtracks related to Kingdom Hearts, Disney, or Square-Enix that aren't currently on the radio feel free to request them in here. Otherwise, look forward to future announcements regarding request hours & other shows in the future. :]

 

Ok i Will Thanks, but since 99.9% of everyone here likes Anime, could we not suggest Anime Openings, Closings and OSTs? And before I start Requesting, could i maybe see a list of the songs and albums In the Radio Station?

Just a heads up, you can now view upcoming events on the radio page . It will be updated quite frequently so be sure to check back often so you don't miss the shows you're looking forward to.

 

Let's see, for me those times would be 2am, 4am and 11pm. Fun times~

 

Ouch. Unfortunately, about 80% of the station's listeners come from the US or Canada so we're trying to work with those times for now. However we are encouraging staff members to make shows for the earlier time slots, so hopefully we can spread it out a bit.
