Sorry it took so long yesterday. The server guy had a hell of time since the old server was ******.

Some people are stuck in the old server. Like, they only see posts from there, and they're the only user online.
For example, members P and Chevalier:

They're the only ones that can see the threads they created in the spam zone ("I am king" and "Looks like I have khv for myself"- haha losers), whilst in the new server those threads don't exist.

 

that could be a chache issue.

The nameservers have not switched over yet either.

I only had just a few minutes of lagging 1-2 hours ago. The pages would just not load. But it was only for like a couple of minutes. Other than that I didnt notice any issue.

 

Everything seems to be working rather well for me.

I'm not really having any problems, it was slow to load this morning but I think that was just my computer. The ads aren't showing up for me, I just have a blank spot with an icon that says "ad choices" but I'm not complaining about that.

 

The RP Arena board (but not the sub-boards) takes a longer time to load. I'm unsure as to whether this is normal for this section or not (I believe it has had problems in the past), but it may be worth looking into.

 

Yeah the RP arena in the old server was slow at loading and sometimes would give errors. And it was happening more noticeably recently.

 

Just noticed that the Video Warehouse took a lot longer to load.

EDIT: Perhaps it is just me.

The ****** old server must explain the long database error from 7:20 PM to 9:45 PM last night.

Anyway, after the forums came back up, they were noticeably fast. In fact, the loading speed is now the same as the loading speed from the SEGA and Final Fantasy Shrine forums -- fast to very fast.

Now, all that needs to happen is for the SEGA forums to come back online, and that will be another happy day! :)

 

Amaury i know you've been keeping track of errors, so let me know if you see something odd

 

I removed the 7:20 PM - 9:45 PM database error time period last night, as that was from the server moving.

However, I definitely will post if I notice something.

But one thing I've noticed is there is still a problem with the subscription folders.
They either take like 5 minutes to load, or I get a error screen. But sometime it loads fine... just randomly.
This happened a fair few times before the move too... so someone may wish to check it out.
I know there were a few other people that had this same problem too, but it wasn't everyone if I'm correct.. So yeah. XD

Also, another thing is with the subscriptions. I've got a lot of my things (mainly RPs) set to instant, which means I receive an email to tell me a post has happened.
Suddenly, I'm not getting emails from the threads... so I keep having to check my control panel for my subscriptions.
I dunno if this was to do with the move, but yeah, currently it looks like subscription emails aren't working for now... :/

Your server guy now knows the pain we've endured trying to keep this place running, haha. A very noticeable difference indeed, so glad we're now on a server that we can actually work on. Thanks so much for doing this.

Also, I'm getting the same minor-lag for the main RP Arena as well. It was there before the server change, after some rearranging or sections, and seems to still be there. :/​

 

Never mind. I'm getting emails now... I dunno what was up, maybe it was the email account on my end... :/
