Why should I do my own research into something that I have already established in my mind as bad?

Not really. I've seen proof that ovaries, vulvae, and the like exist (I'm proof of that), so I don't need to actually see it.

On the other hand, I have never seen any proof that good rap exists, directly or otherwise. What you seem to be saying (and please correct me if I'm wrong) is that I should have faith that good rap exists because there is no proof that it does not, but I have no basis for that faith. Should I also believe an invisible man stands in my room and eats plums while watching me sleep?

 

It's not about proof, not saying there's "No proof that it doesn't exist so it must", I'm saying you've obviously never sat down and listen to different artists to discern which one's are to your liking. The music is there and you're just too closed minded too go look for it. There was plenty posted in this thread. You just don't want to like it and want to be one of those people who says "IT'S THE LOWEST FORM OF MUSIC" so you do without actually knowing anything about the genre. It's 2013, you have the internet at your disposal, if you can't find rap you enjoy you're not looking.

The reason you should do some research into it is because the argument you've put up in this thread holds no merit and you sound like an uncultured idiot trying to paint something you obviously know nothing about in a negative light. If you're gonna be vocal about not liking something you should at least know what you're talking about and have a wider understanding of the subject.
