Unfortunately, as is the case with most biased people, even posting good rap songs probably won't change the mind of someone who's already decided their stance on an entire genre of music, as ignorant and closed-minded as that is.

But I still commend the posting of such quality rap for those who can appreciate it :>

This was the first time I searched for the song on youtube, never would have thought Kanye would have showed up first. But the original is the one I've heard billions of times, so naturally that's the one to post.

 

The original is all Chief Keef and I don't support his fuckery. He's like 17 years old and keeps getting arrested and sent to Juvee and he can barely pronounce consonants, just listen to his song "Hate Being Sober" and you'll see what I mean.

 

i dont like rap. doesnt mean i consider it shit music. there can be shit rappers or shit musicians in any genre. i like rock music, and i think linkin park is the shittiest. there's a difference between disliking something and it being culturally valueless.

My Line of Reasoning:
(NOTE: "Rap" in this case only refers to songs of the rap genre. "Good rap" refers to rap that is good by comparison to music, not other rap.)

Due to the fact that I live in a neighborhood of obnoxious morons who think that their cars are radio broadcast towers, I have heard a lot of rap.
All rap that I have any memory of hearing has been terrible except when compared to other rap.
Because I have never heard good rap, it only makes sense that it does not exist. If I end up hearing

But on average, I hate rap.

 

I don't like rap in general, but that doesn't mean I go around bashing the people who do over their tastes.
Hell, I like a lot of things that other people don't, and I don't judge (unless of course they're being dicks saying "oh, that is so shitty and your tastes suck if you like it because it's complete shit").
