You mean the plumbob flash drive? I wanted it, but my dad said it wasn't worth the extra money...

Wait, what's the conversion of £ to $? Cuz in America, the regular version is $50 and the special version is $70. DX

Got this game a week ago, it's amazing. <3 It's got much better graphics, and if you love the Sims series, you'll get the stories with the Goths, Newbie's and the original people, quite amazing, though story wise, the games go: Sims 3, Sims 1, Sims 2. xD

I never really paid attention to the stories in the games. I've always been about the custom stuff. I like taking things and customizing them so much that you can't even recognize the original.

Sims 3 is absolutely amazing. In my opinion, it is a whole lot better than the Sims 2. I love the idea of being able to customize almost everything, and being able to give them personality traits. It definitely effects how they react to everyone and everything around them. I also love how you don't have a loading screen while going to different lots, and the graphics are absolutely amazing, even when you're on medium settings. I have to have it on medium settings because my laptop can't handle the high settings, but the graphics are still amazing.

I always loved the custom content in Sims 2, but I hated the downloading process, so I'm glad now you can customize actually in the game.

Yeah, my computer can't run it. But then again my computer is four years old. :< I failed like everything on that test lol.

There are teams working on custom content for the Sims 3, like how it was in Sims 2. I've always favored MTS2 for custom content, and I'm waiting for them to make a tool. I think TSR is pretty close though. MTS2 has a tool import your own patterns though.

Also there are a few patches you guys should check out if you've got issues. There's a fix released by EA to turn off Story Progression:
But some guy on the MTS2 forums released this HUGE thing. Here's a link to his thread: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=343412
    and here's what it does:

I tried making a Sim on my cousin's computer yesterday and was kind of disappointed. For the life of me, I could not figure out how to change her face. I clicked on chin, cheeks, and everything, but in the end she just ended up looking like the same person. I couldn't make the lips very thin or the eyes very different. Actually, playing it yesterday, I thought it was way more limited than the customization available in the Sims 2. I haven't actually played it in the house yet, but I'll have to see.

There have been mods released to allow you to make more drastic changes. I could direct you to them if you'd like. I also read that if you set the all the sliders to the lowest they can go, then modify the face to your liking from there, the Sim will look much more unique.

I played this around my friends house a couple of days ago. The Create-A-Sim was so much better then any of the previous games, and the traits make it so much more fun when you play it.

Though the game play takes some getting used to, I was on it for 6 hours or so and I only just got the hang of it. I just wish I could get it. I doubt any of my computers could take it though ><

    I've always favored MTS2 as well. <3

And I assume you're talking about "awesomemod", which I already have. x3

I've been trying to make custom content for TS3, but it's a LOT harder than it was back in TS2...

Oh ya... I got it the day it came out. So awesome. I always loved the Sims... but I actually have to say I think the people looked better in the Sims 2. They're kinda ugly in the 3rd one.

Ah, that sounds interesting. Sure, that'd be great! Although I won't be getting the game for a while since my Mac doesn't have Leopard.

There you go! They've got a lot of other nice mods on that site too, such as removing building sparkles, getting rid of the 'curfew cops', etc.

The fast forward in the Sims 3 was rubbish. There wasn't a difference between speed 3 n' 4, n' they weren't particularly fast.

Anyhoo! Haven't played in a while (just been doin' other thin's. xD), but my Sim did achieve her life long wish within' a few days n' was fully promoted. It was incredibly easy. I'm thinkin' i'll need to start a family.

People have made a lot of progress with modding. If you guys are into creating, you can now import your own patterns and create a stationary logo on shirts and such. You can also replace game textures, edit meshes (won't post link because I think that's probably too advanced for most of you. xD). They're really working hard on adding hairs. Creating them isn't that bad from what I can tell, but so far they can only make it so that it will overwrite one of the current game hairs you have. Delphy and HP of MTS2 are working on this right now though.

Here is a link the first user-created hair. It's very nice imo, the new version hasn't created any conflicts with the game (yet), however it replaces the female mohawk.

    ... and I still don't have the game. ;_;
