Unfortunately, I accidentally used it in Wonderland, I think, with Riku, and it's got an ornate silver crown. It doesn't have a value, but from what I've seen, it can open any kind of door, with any value, and any color [besides storyline ones].

Who else has gotten this? And is that all it does?

I never got a silver card before.
It must be ultra rare for something (duh).

If your talking about the Joker card, you can use it on story doors, I used one at the door to axel on F13 to cover the 99 requirement. There are also Gold and Platinum cards you get from having 100% journal completion I think but I don't know if those are map cards.

The silver cards ARE in fact, the rarest cards in the game. You get them after so many battles. I think I got mine after like....the 20th battle in Castle Oblivion. They just randomly appear after you battle ALOT.

The gold cards you can get at any time...They kind of work like the silver cards except they appear a little more often. However, if you are in the first three worlds of the game like Wonderland or Traverse Town, etc..it will only appear 10 or 20% of the time which isn't very often. You are most likely to get them toward the end of the game. I got most of mine in the Castle Oblivion level. They appear about 50% of the time there.

Platnum cards you get by obtaining the red world cards with a P on it. Then you synthesize a new room with it and start battling. Most of the time in every battle, one of the heartless will drop an item that looks like a gold plate with a P on it. Obtain this to get a platnum card at the end of battle.

NOTE: I found this out the hard way! Platnum cards use less CP but I also noticed that when you use them, they won't return when you reload your cards...so if you are going to use a lot of platnum cards, also put a LOT of potions or elixors in your deck.

Premium cards cost the value 1 of their card type, are worth 10 more Moogle Points than usual, and if used on their own they are UnReloadable (Stocking them as the second or third card allows them to be Reloaded). That's why it's best to use Premium cards in Sleights (as in, the whole Sleight should consist of Premium cards). Very useful for expensive Stock Techniques like Mega Flare. Also, only Attack and Magic cards can be Premium. It's best to only turn every Magic except Cure and TinkerBell, because most Magic cards are best used in Stock Techniques.
