I did that but it doesn't show my picture. It just shows some brackets and letters. How do I get the picture?

There's a guide to putting a picture in your signature here: http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=53560

As for the brackets, it's a type of code called BBCODE. For example, right now you have some brackets that say , so obviously you were trying to change the font of your signature. (Although there's no text in there so it won't make a difference.) The reason the brackets are showing up when they'd usually be hidden is because you haven't closed the tag.

Here, let me do an example. This is what you have now:
    your text here

For the code to work properly, you have to close the tag to look like this:
    your text here [/font*]
(minus the star, I had to put that it in so the code wouldn't work.)

If you did all that properly, it'd look like this:
    your text here

No, BBCode is different from HTML. HTML is used more widely, however it is disabled on a lot of forums (including ours) because it can produce undesired effects. BBCode is nearly identical to HTML (though more restricting), except for the way you code it.

For example, if I wanted to change my font size with HTML, it would look like this:

    <font size="1">my text here</font*>

    But with BBCode...

    [font size="1"]my text here[/font*]
