    We watched that movie in 6th grade, and my teacher skipped over that part of the movie because it was "too scary." One of the many things about Private School that irritated me.    ​

    Ferngully was terrifying ._. It's like "This is a lovely happy love story about a logger and some fairies UNTIL THE BIG EVIL SMOG DEMON COMES OUT OF THE TREE AND POSSESSES THE BIG EVIL MACHINE AND TRIES TO KILL THEM ALL D:

    But yes, I remember the reference. The stone giant daddy who thought he was strong but when the big nothingness thing that was destroying everything he couldn't protect this son =/
