Shyamalan announces cast for The Last Airbender...

Yes, it is here. The live-action trilogy to take place over the next several years has its cast list. Are you ready? Really? Well, here we are:

Aang - Noah Ringer
"Karate star" apparently from Texas. Basically an unknown. No pictures of him yet.

Katara - Nicole Peltz
Another unknown, though I heard that she's from a couple of movies. Small parts maybe.

Sokka - Jackson Rathbone
Of the Twilight fame. He looks pretty good, I must say.

Prince Zuko - Jesse McCartney
A favorite pop singer among teenag- wait, what?!

Seriously. First Roxas and now Zuko? Jesse was actually good as Roxas but I'm getting some bad vibes, IMO. But who knows. I really hope Night can pull this off. With some extreme luck.

But they did say that they are currently in negotiations with Jesse McCartney, so we'll see.

Wow that's interesting. Although Jessie McCartney as Zuko surprised me a bit. I can't find a pic of Noah but I did find this, http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/12/10/first-look-the-cast-of-the-last-airbender/ with pictures of the other cast members.

 

I screamed with delight when I read Jackson's name. He's gonna be a great Sokka! 8D
Jesse McCartney took me by surprise, but I actually think he'll be pretty good as Zuko.

As for Jackson Rathbone, I can picture him as some kind of pseudo-Sokka.

 

Not sure about McCartney as Zuko, but this seems okay. Just hope it doesn't suck like Dragonball is.

 

O.o This is interesting news... Jessi McCartney's name kind of shocked shocked me when I saw that... XD lol, who knows, he might actually do a good job. :D I can't wait to see it to see how it turned out in theaters.

 

Why is it that Jesse McCartney is getting into alot of acting? It's not fair. He' got a good voice, but Zuko needs to have a gruff, evilish voice.

 

Apparently, Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy xD) might be playing General Zhao.
I can fully picture that, he'd be perfect! 8D

 

I think Jackson will be an awesome Sokka! Jesse kind of surprised me though, I don't know if he's right for Zuko...

I like the idea although to me its basically what DB is doing (IMO) and i'm not sure Jessie McCartney is a good idea.

i don't know how good this movie is going to be.i'm sensing another live-action dragonball fail.i loved the anime,but live action.it just makes me ask,WHY

It's Shyamalan, so it's hard to say the epic fail-ness of it yet.

 

I'm feeling pretty good about this. Even McCartney as Zuko. Hopefully, this will be an awesome movie that lives up to its expectations.

The guy playing Sokka looks very cute(my fav char in the show), The girl playing Katara is very pretty, and Zuko- *bursts out laughing, and whipes tear when finished* Jesse McCartney *starts laughing again* Ok, I rest my case.

 

That would be cool since he voiced General Zhao in the show.

 

WTF?! The only goo vibe I would see Jesse Mccartney as Zuko is when Zuko's hair is all down and cool and stuff.
