This is my first fanfic that I've posted here, so I'd really appreciate feedback/critcism on how to improve my story. And thank you very much for reading! Oh, please note that this is pg-13, as the romance can get intense, there may be slight blood, and several references to matters unappropriate for children. Other than that, it's fine, with absolutely no cussing. --- Prologue "Wow, you have really big ears, Larxene." "No, you just have a really big mouth, Roxas!" "I do not!" "You do, too!" Not again... Axel thought to himself with a sigh, listening to the two argue for the twentieth time that day. Axel was in his room, sitting on a chair and reading a book, when he heard Larxene and Roxas shouting from the next room. From the way they were yelling at each other, he would've expected the two to be enemies since the first time they met. In fact, it all started when Axel had found a quiz on the internet, and he decided to show the two. Larxene and Roxas so happened to take the quiz together, and one of the questions was 'what do you think of each other's hair?' Roxas had boldly replied that Larxene's hair reminded him of a bug's antennas, as her platinum blonde hair had two hair bands that stuck out and curved back like a bug's feelers. Angry at his remark, the Savage Nymph had retorted that Roxas's metallic gold hair looked as spiky as a porcupine's bristles. After this comment, the two began to argue, non-stop, for the entire week. And it wasn't just about the hair, it was for other, varied reasons, such as who was stronger, more intelligent, and so on. This time, it seems that the two were arguing about something Larxene overheard Roxas say, which was likely something he didn't want her to overhear. This is just crazy... Axel thought, laying his novel on his lap and closing his eyes. I haven't even been able to get any sleep lately, without hearing those two chattering away... "Hey, Axel," a mature, male voice interrupted Axel's thoughts. Axel flashed opened his eyes to see the "Graceful Assassin," number eleven in the Organization and leader of the Oblivion Castle, Marluxia. "Yo, Marluxia," Axel said with a slight wave. "What's up?" "The usual," Marluxia said, sitting down on a nearby chair. "I also see that as usual, Larxene and Roxas are still arguing." "Yeah," Axel chuckled. "They've been going at it all day." "The same subject since this morning you mean?" Marluxia said. "Man, aren't they ever going to let it go?" "I don't know," Axel shrugged. "But they're so absorbed in it that they actually got changed in the same room once." "Are you serious?" Marluxia asked, fixating his steely thulian pink eyes onto Axel's emerald green ones. "I mean, that would be inappropriate for the two to be getting dressed in the same place." "They were only fixing their cloaks," Axel reassured him. "Don't worry, they didn't do anything naughty." "Hmph," Marluxia grunted. "From the way the two are acting, I wouldn't think they would try anything anyway." "Ha, you never know," Axel said, leaning back in his chair and putting his hands behind his head. "Anyhow, why are you here, Marluxia? Is there something you wanted to tell me?" "Well...I wanted to inform you that our Superior has been getting quite...fond of our enemy," Marluxia answered. "Sora?" "No, Riku." "What?" Axel exclaimed, surprised. "Why? And how?" "Well, ever since the Superior went to talk to him...he began to see him as a friend." "Yeah, well, what exactly did Riku say that caused Xemnas to think so?" "He promised him something...I don't know entirely what it is, but it must've been something important to make the Superior act like that." "Well, as long as it doesn't affect us, I'm cool with that," Axel said, relaxing again. "So don't be so tense, Marluxia." "But...I'm afraid of how far he will take this..." Marluxia said, looking down. "Saix told me that the Superior's planning on staying on the Destiny Islands with Riku..." "Wow, really?" "Yes," Marluxia nodded. "Of course, Saix is coming along to make sure Riku doesn't try anything, but still...that just proves how...attached the Superior is, to our enemy." "Are you sure this isn't part of Xemnas's plan to trick Riku into thinking they're buddies?" "According to Saix, I don't think so." "Well, as long as the Luna Diviner doesn't trust Riku, he'll be able to keep Xemnas in check." "That's true," Marluxia said, standing up. "Anyway, I must be going. Keep an eye on Larxene and Roxas and make sure they don't break anything or kill each other, okay?" "Yeah," Axel nodded, "and I'll make sure they won't do anything kinky either." "Very funny," Marluxia said, sarcastically, as darkness surrounded him and he disappeared. "I wouldn't say that if I were you, Marluxia," Axel whispered, even though the Graceful Assassin was long gone. "Because you never know..." He leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and began to hum a song. Here comes the showdown What goes around comes around And the crowds are waiting, ohh Cause if we break up Then we can make up Shake my booty all night Here comes the showdown, ohh

Thanks, I'm glad everyone's enjoying it so far! :) I just hope the next part isn't too slow or anything... ---- Chapter One "Roxas, Roxas..." Roxas groaned and groggily opened his eyes to see the shadowy outline of a certain female Organization member. "Larxene, it's nighttime," the Key of Destiny said, sleepily. "Let me get some rest..." "But I want to talk to you, Roxas," Larxene protested, "and I'm bored." "Why couldn't this be in the morning?" Roxas asked, closing his eyes again. "I'm so tired..." "So what?" Larxene remarked. "I just said that I was bored." "And you want me to entertain you?" Roxas said. "You've said that same line for three nights already. Can't you let me sleep peacefully for once?" "Nope," Larxene giggled. "You're too cute." "What's that supposed to mean?" Roxas asked, looking at her suspiciously. It wasn't like her to give him a compliment. "You're too cute for me to leave," she replied, sounding as if she was smiling. "Besides, don't you like me here?" "What do you think?" Roxas scoffed. "You don't want me here, do you?" Larxene said. "That's not very nice, Roxy." "You bother me," Roxas explained, "that's why!" "I'm only conversing with you," Larxene said, smiling in amusement. "In the middle of the night," Roxas added, "especially when I'm trying to get to sleep." "Are you that tired?" Larxene asked. "Yes." "Fine, then I'll leave you alone," she said, standing up, "so you can get your precious sleep." Finally, Roxas thought with a content sigh. "But I want to do something first," Larxene said, looking down at Roxas. "What now?" he asked, groaning. "Can you do this in the morning?" "No," she shook her head, "I want to do it now." "And why not later?" "Because it just wouldn't feel right. Besides, it isn't meant for the morning." "Do it tomorrow then." "What if I don't feel like it anymore?" "Too bad for you then," Roxas said, closing his eyes. I just want to get some sleep... "You do know I won't leave you alone until I do this?" "Fine, go ahead then!" Roxas said, starting to feel annoyed. "As long as you let me get some rest!" Larxene smiled and slipped in under the covers next to Roxas. "What are you doing?!" Roxas exclaimed, flashing open his eyes. "What does it look like?" Larxene asked. "Don't worry, I'm only sleeping next to you. Is there something wrong with that?" "N-no," Roxas said, closing his eyes again. "But couldn't you sleep in your own room?" "But I want to sleep here," Larxene pouted in a playful tone of voice. "Why?" "Because you're cute." "You keep saying that." "You are!" "Well...good night then," Roxas said, almost stammering again. I can't believe she thinks I'm cute... Larxene smiled at Roxas's figure in the dark, thinking, Even if I can't make out how he looks exactly, I still think he's cute... She watched as he pulled the blankets to cover himself and remarked, "Cold?" "Turn away!" Roxas exclaimed, his cheeks heating up. He felt uncomfortable with Larxene watching his every move. The Savage Nymph merely chuckled, but didn't move from her position. Roxas couldn't tell whether her eyes were still following him, so he just turned away, a blush still spread across his cheeks. It felt strange to be sleeping with someone else - especially one of the opposite gender - but at the same time, it was almost as if he enjoyed having her there. Larxene wasn't quite as nervous, but she was actually beginning to tire out. As she slipped into a deep sleep, a thought crossed her mind. I want to sleep here beside him...because he makes me feel safe... "Good night, you two." "Night, Riku," Kairi and Sora called from over from their rooms. Riku gave a slight wave and smiled at them, as he walked into his bedroom. To his suprise, a certain Nobody was lying on his bed. Xemnas had his hand over his chest - the place where his heart would be if he had one - and he was smiling peacefully. His hair flowed around him like a silver stream, and his cloak billowed around him like black ripples. When Riku stepped in, Xemnas flashed open his eyes and sat up, yawning. He stretched slightly and said, "Hello, Riku." "Xemnas," Riku said, "what are you doing on my bed?" "Oh, I'm sorry," he apologized, softly rubbing his right eye, "I didn't know that this was yours." "That's fine," Riku said, tiredly, "but leave now." "Did you just give the Superior an order?" a frosty voice said behind him. Riku turned to see the Luna Diviner, number seven in the Organization, Saix. "What did it sound like?" Riku retorted. "If you ever do that again," Saix growled, "I'll smash your head in." "I'd like to see you try," Riku scoffed, as he walked over to his bed. Saix gave him a cold glare but said nothing. "Is it okay if I share the same bed with you, Riku?" Xemnas said. "I don't really know where else to sleep..." "Fine," Riku said, slipping under the covers. "Whatever." "Thank you, Riku," Xemnas said, smiling kindly at him as he laid back down and closed his eyes. Saix just stood there watching the two. He was suspicious of the boy, and he didn't want him to injure the Superior while he was asleep. Likewise, Riku also didn't trust the both of them, but he was already exhausted and needed some sleep...not to mention that he didn't really think they would try anything in his own home, especially with Sora and Kairi nearby. I really hope they'll leave soon... Riku thought, as he began to fall asleep. But...how am I supposed to find Xemnas a heart?
