358/2 Days should they make a remake of 385/2 days for ps2

As I said before its to early to talk of remaking it and if they did it would not be on ps2 it would be on ps3 due to the multiplayer and the game looks fine the way it is

Re:com was remade because it was 2d and was really differnt compared to the ps2 ones.

They should not be remaking the game just so we can see some movement in fingers.. because honestly. Thats pretty much all that was bad about the graphics. The gameplay would be exactly like it is on the ds. The environment is 3d and all youd be getting out of it is a bit more detail.
Sure.. SOME cutscenes might be remade. But its really not worth it.
Sides ps2 is dead.. if it was getting remaid, ps2 would be the last thing it would be on.

 

And besides, PS3s are coming down in price, remember the PS2? When the slim version came out, the original went down in price. This will make the PS3 more accessible and more people will start buying it. This will mean more money for developers and then more new games. People buy the console for the games and so the cycle starts all over.

The only reason I still have my PS2 is because not all games are backwards compatible yet ... and the fact that I'm addicted to digimon world right now.

Face it, the only way that SE would remake Days is if the fans throught it would be better on another system AND the management thought that there was any money in it. Although ... KH Days on the PS3 ... *drools* ...

 

Its not gonna happen for a simple reason: Square expressed they wanted a KH game with multiplayer, DS was the best system of choice for that. They cannot mimic DS multiplayer on PS2. Not to mention only about 20% of ps2 users have a multi-tap which makes that situation worse.

Besides, the game is fine like it is.

There's no reason to remake or port this game to any console. PS2, Wii, PS3 or otherwise. There's no point.

The only reason you could possibly want this remade is if for some unholy reason you don't have a DS. Considering the price, that you obviously like KH and the number of other good games for DS, there's no reason to not get one.

Not everyone can afford a ds these days and not everyone can afford anything else then a ps2

I mean ps2's are like 100-120 dollars these days
Ds are like 120-150 dollars

So i basiclly agree the only reason they will make it for wii is for the graphics... like re:com

 

No one's going to remake and resell the game because a couple people can't aford a ds. Which btw is cheaper then any of the current consoles. And they definatly wont make it on the ps2 for that either.

If you can't afford the console.. its tough luck. The ps2 is pretty much dead. If you can't afford a next gen console, your just gonna miss out on future games, no ones gonna be porting them to ps2s till everyone in the world has the newer verstion.

 

That same reason explains why Square would never bother to remake it; remaking it for ANY console would NOT just be a simple port. It would completely redone from the ground up, which costs time and money that is wasted when the game looks and runs fine on the DS.

The DS has sold 107.75 million units world wide and is still being actively DEVELOPED for.
The PS2, as of June 08, has 140 Million, but no one (NOT EVEN SQUARE) is developing for it anymore. Games that are being released on that console are all cross-platform ports.

And quit being stupid and do some research. You get a 1st gen. DS for like $60 or $70 bucks, used. Cheaper, probably.

 

I wouldn't think so, it already has 3D graphics, and from what I hear, it's not that great.

They wouldn't because it's a PlayStation title. Unless they did something like make a prequel, like how they did Devil May Cry 4. But BBS is already made, so I don't think they would do that.

Dsi's here are like 300 bucks.
Infact all our games are usualy double the price as what people in the states have.

A remake already? The game hasn't even been out a week.. However, I would have preferred a PS2 release for both Days and BBS. If and when they do a plug-in-console remake, it'll most likely be for the PS3, not the PS2 (sadly) As an additional point of conversation, I hope they never EVER release a Kingdom hearts game for the Wii, as how crap would that be, not that Wiis ARE crap, because quite frankly, I love mine.. and I also think we should be given a version of Coded (wasn't it only released as a mobile game for the Japanese? I found this to be an outrage) but enough blathering from me.. wait until a remake is actually necessary before pining about one <3

 

I'm gonna stop you right there. People actually still ARE developing for the PS2.

 

Meh, it would kinda be crapping DS owners on the head, because KH:Days was their special thing.

If they're going to remake it at all, they need to get rid of all the repetitive missions and come up with something better. I wouldn't be able to stand to go through all that again, even if the graphics are nicer.
