I would write a story this month but since I'm the only judge (At the moment) I'd feel bias.

Is that a good game? I've never played it but it looks pretty good.​

 

Well then Xaale, if you are judging that doesn't mean that you can't enter and just not have your work judged.
And Bioshock is in my top two favortie horror survival games with RE4.

O_O Hmm... So now we're going to use the specific prompt? Alright, I might be able to think of something. I'll just post the SS I already started on outside of the competition. I tried tying it in with the prompt, but it came out kinda lame. I'll just think up an entirely new idea. *Ish excited*

well, im not sure if to partake or not.

because i'm still not sure if using such a closed scenario, like the one given.

it kinda contracts any creative juices, of course it gives you starting material , but there are only so many ways it can go , like , okay you find the Dog?, and then, some people might repeat plot, due to it not being open enough.

of course this shows our skill with writting with restraints, but it also destroys one main thing that could be used to jugde the works.

creativity, instead it's replaced with spontaneuety(sp?)

there are good things and bad things about this.

at least that's what i think.

i would definately prefer something more open, but i would also like to see how can i work with something like this.

 

Your right about the plot repeating, hun, but each story will be different in some way knowing these creative minds. I personally like the idea, but if it doesn't work out we can always change.

If more people wish to be judge, I can always add a fourth, but then it would be fve judges if you counted myself. Five is enough.

Actually, as far as having a closed prompt like that, I think that shows writing skill better. It's harder to come up with something really creative with restraints than it is without restraints, if you look at it that way, so it adds a difficulty element. Broad topics can be good, but when judging them, it gets hard to compare them if they go in totally opposite directions, it's almost like a different theme all together, with something like this the competition will be more...everyone's writing on the same thing, aye? But you can go in different directions with it.

Whatever, makes sense in my head. xD Also Xaale, I'm still mega into judging this.

And when did I say that I would be a judge? I commented and said that I am one of the poetry judges, and in all honest, i don't have the time to judge this round. Maybe the next round.

If we get people, that's good, but then again, Xaale, I don't think we need more than 3 judges, max. There'd just be too many after that and it'd be hard to get things through and such like that, you know?
