she's changed........AND WANTS TO BE JUST LIKE ME?!!!!!

I like my friend cuz she's her. tomboyish, sporty, and really funny. but now she's different. and she said she wants to be just like me. but she's all gothic and emoish and not herself anymore. that would be hard to be emo and me at the same time. and i get the feeling she isn't comfortable with herself.
anyways, she said she wants to draw like me, write cursive like mine, have long dark hair like mine, and be like me!!!!!!!!!! i already annoy me!!!!
i mean at first i thought she just meant to be like me. i didn't know she meant EXACTLY like me!!!!!!! i want to tell her but i don't want to hurt her feelings. she's real sensitive

 

Tell her anyways or stop *****ing. up to you.

 

She's probably just having some sort of identity crisis, and she's not understanding the fact that you can idolize someone and not look or act exactly like them. No matter how bothersome it may be, imitation is the highest form of flattery.

I WAS flattered. at first. but she went overboard. and my other friend agrees with me. She said having me is bad enough xDDDD LOL
i ahte when people tell me i should be flattered cuz that's what my friend thought at first but when the same friend who's trying to be like me kept copying her she knew how i felt.
it's really hard and i still can't tell her

 

i dont think thats nothing to be ashamed of. your being a role model for her and she looks up to you like a genuine friend. i think you should feel fortunate. :)

 

Well... the EXACTLY "I want to be like you" feeling will wear off soon. It's a temporary feeling that comes through SOMETIME in your life. I guess just have tolerance, and help your friend find things she might be interested in. That might help out a little...

...I hate this phrase, ah well...It's just a phase, Right now she's most likely going through identity crisis and whatnot. The most you can do is stick with her and try to get her to see that you liked her the way she was. And if you can't talk to her straight out about what's going on then try hints. Things like, 'your hair looks so cute short.' or 'that color so isn't you, you should try something else'. Good luck.

 

i'd say you've gota problem....i'd say to just let her down gently, and jus tell her that its hard enough to have one of me but you can't be me, srry.....

better yet.... you should say," i don't mind you wanting to be like me, but you don't have to be exactly like me.... i dont mind it, but your not acting like the person i became friends with...."

If you possibly try being her. she may be annoyed. even tho it didn't work in spongebob squarepants maybe it'll work in real life? :D
