Traditional Art Sherlock Holmes drawing

I was bored one night and decided to watch Sherlock Holmes. While watching t, I decided to pause it near the beginnig and did a little sketch of him, all in pen.

Haha I love it! Sort of an Anime-esque Holmes. Gotta say, Robert Downey Jr is great as Sherlock :) I like the crosshatching you used for shading. Drawing in pen is always tricky but I think you did a good job! :)

 

Much love for Mr Holmes! xD It is very good, the shading is really good. The one thing I would mainly suggest is that his head is a little mishapen and his eyes are a little too big. I think the hair is well done as you get across a good texture but you could practise different ways of shading hair.

I know this is a rough doodle but I love it :D You should really keep practising and improving! Keep it up.

And I just have to comment on your handwriting.
That too,is rather adorable,and it makes me rage as everyone but me has beautiful handwriting.

Well, considering I just paused the movie at a certain scene and sketched it, I think it's decent.

Thank you my Whovian sister. Well, I usually get the proportions messed up (his hair is far too... poofy) and I have trouble doing small eyes. That was just to keep it from being dreadfully awkward. Again, thank you. I may or may not do other characters at some point as well, since so many people seem to have taken an interest in this rough doodle.

Well, I worked harder on the handwriting than usual. My normal writing is crap, so I tried to make this look at least somewhat presentable.
