IT'S LIKE THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'D USE IT FOR In all seriousness, hella news. Very encouraging since I'm getting the system before the end of the year.
This is incredible. Like, game-changing (in terms of playing actual games and the console market). Erasing the need for both to own the game alone is a bold move, but supporting local co-op is pretty awesome too. I wonder if that will extend to PS Now titles. Also curious about this. Even if it doesn't at launch though, this is such a huge feature for the console (and one that definitely sets it apart from the Xbox One) that I can see them developing it more and more as the years go on.
Don't know how much of the game will be streaming and how much will be downloaded, at playstation Far Cry 4 will give you the option to play along with friends (don't know who thought of it first, but as it is exclusive to the playstation I'll give the credits for sony). Maybe you could download a "light" version of the game so there is no need for much streaming? Either way this sets up the bar! Virtual Couch is the best idea of this generation so far.
Wow wow wow. I am about to forget about this and Bam! This super cool feature is right at the doorstep. Really?? Cant wait to test it.
