Kingdom Hearts Shadow Heartless Sora Explained

This is more or less my interpretation of what happens in the Kingdom Hearts series regarding Heartless, Nobodies, etc.

There is one question that has bugged players of the Kingdom Hearts series ever since the first game was released. After Sora releases Kairi's heart from his own body, he becomes a heartless. We all know that whenever someone with a strong heart goes to the darkenss, the create a heartless and a nobody. This is true in the case of Sora, in which he created both a Heartless and a Nobody.

However, some have wondered why Sora's Heartless was a Shadow, the lowest of the low when you're talking about Heartless. Some wonder exactly why his Heartless was weak.

I see it this way, it's not the stegth of the heart that determines the Heartless that you are (also, remember that many of the stronger heartless are Emblemed Heartless). What creates a Heartless is the strength of darkness that is in ones heart. The stength of your heart alone determines the kind of Nobody someone is.

Here's a good example: Look at Xehanort (after the events of Birth by Sleep). At some point between those ten years, Xehanort gave in to the darkness that was in his heart, creating a Heartless and a Nobody. There was a great amount of darkness that filled his heart, giving him a very powerful Heartless. Xehanort's heart was also very stong, which is why Xemnas was created in the process.

Using the same idea with Sora, his heart was very storng. That is why Roxas was able to wield the Keyblade and become a part of Organization XIII. However, we also know that Sora was a very kind person who cared very much about his friends. He had little darkness inside his heart, which means that when he became a heartless, there had to be an equal manifestation of his darkness.

This also makes sense to why I think (again, this is just what I think) Kairi didn't have a heartless. She's a Princess of Heart, meaning that not an ounce of darkness was found inside her heart. Namine, her Nobody, was obviously created from this, but she never became a heartless. No darkness means that there is no Heartless to create.

It's just one theory of this entire situation.

Law of Conservation of Mass: What you put in in is what you get out. Amount of darkness in your heart equals how strong your Heartless is.

 

Yeah, but it's also because of Aqua's magic.
When her heart was gonna be "extracted" it flew into Sora instead because of that magic, so even if she wasn't a PoH she'd have no Heartless.

Nomura confirmed Sora to be an "Heart only" being until KH2, sorta like an LS, but thinking and feeling.
And Naminé is literally nothing, no body, no heart, arguably Sora's soul since she was made from what left his body, but still, she's beyond nobodies in terms of non-existance.

 

When was this confirmed? Do you remember the interview?

 

That he was an heart being yes, but i'm the one comparing it to an LS.

That's fine. I just want the walking-heart confirmation, as it was a fairly controversial theory a while ago.

 

Perhaps Kairi's body didn't disappear because she was a princess of heart...? The light could of protected her or people only disappear because they become Heartless, not because they lose their heart. This is only a random theory though.

But the simple answer would be that Kingdom Hearts deifies all logic.

I always thought the amont of darkness someone had in their heart deturmined the heartless they made and since Sora was very light his heartless was weak and since Ansem was a really dark heartless.... well you get the idea and I thought Memories deturmined the Nobody and since

Sora has Ven's heart and thus his memories which is why Roxas looked like Ven not Sora

well in birth by sleep Xehanort is in terra's body so he has his own darkness as well as terra's and this is why he has such a strong heartless and why no one else has turned in to theis heartless befor

 

first off you mucked upp the quote box thing and second off Heartless are shown in BBS so they did exsist before Kingdom Hearts. And if you meant that Ansem the seeker of Darkness is so strong because of having two dark hearts that is debatable. No one is sure wheather Xehanort becoming a heartless released Terra's heart or if Terra was within Ansem the seeker of Darkness throught out.

 

I think Xehanort's Heartless was directly crafted by the machine that produces emblem heartless, as opposed to being something that just appeared out of the darkness. There is the massive emblem on it, clear evidence of it being an emblem heartless.

It makes sense that creating Xehanort's Heartless was Xehanort's intention in the research of the emblem machine. I can't imagine him being particularly interested in creating some of the ridiculous emblem heartless that hang about the worlds, so the logical idea is that he made the machine in order to craft a perfect heartless body for himself.

 

There is still a debate on wheather Ansem the seeker of Darkness is an emblem or not. The emblem he has could just be clothing....

 

Well the emblem is gone when his shirt is, but at that point, he's attached to another being with the emblem, and heartless rarely have the emblem twice.
