Is there anything that can be done about the slowdown that occurs between 12:00 AM and 1:30 AM PDT? What I noticed is that it seems to really affect search results (What's New?), user profiles, the User CP, creating a thread, etc., while the index seems to be the only area not really affected.

I know it wasn't this way when we first moved to this server, so what could be causing it, and is it possible to fix?

I don't really run into this.

Actually, it may be present, but I don't notice because for some reason, my entire internet seems to slow down at night. It really pisses me off sometimes. So it's entirely possible that I might just be not noticing because of my own issues.

Are you sure it's not just your computer/ISP/magical internet gnomes sleeping on the job?

Yup, I am sure, since we just switched Internet providers; additionally, all other websites and forums I visit are fine during this time period, and they were fine before switching Internet providers, too.

Just did some maintenance on our end, hopefully it helps the site speed. I'll keep an eye on this time frame if I'm still awake and see if I notice a difference, but yeah I did notice how slow it was late last night.

    Thank you.

Also, just to add, when this happens, there almost always seems to be a 503 error around 1:15 AM PDT that lasts for 10 minutes or so, which luckily didn't happen this morning.

Hopefully, the maintenance you did did the trick.

I notice the slowdown too, but it's like 7 in the morning or something for me, so it's rare to notice it.
