Our school did NOTHING to honor this horrible day. >_> The only thing that was related to 9/11 was a short discussion about it in history.

Although when I think about it 6 years ago when I was in 5th grade....I was near Washington D.C for a vacation trip. I truely didn't really care about it really at first. Now since I'm older I now notice how bad it really was.

To all of 9/11 victims and their families: I hope you all the best.

We did nothing in Developmental Psychology today relating to 9/11.

I was ...either a freshman or a sophomore in high school when it originally happened. We did nothing that entire day. Just watched the news on the television.

    I'd rather just move on.

I was in 1st grade when it happened...

I remember being in school and the principal reporting the tragedy on the intercom. My teacher ran over to the TV next to her desk and put it on the news. We all just kinda sat there and watched with our jaws dropped, were were too young to really understand it, but the flaming building definatly scared us...

I can't believe it's really been six years!

Today, we had a short moment of silence in class. And one of the younger students played "America the Beautiful" on her violin.

Twas a sad, sad day indeed... :(
God bless anyone who suffered the worst on that day...

I think i was in 2nd grade when it happened. my mom thought it was new special f/x. and when were at school, everyone was all talking about it. now, six years later, i'm thinking, EGAD!!!! why in the world would anyone do such a thing. today, our school did nothing, exept a themed 9/11 K-JAG, which to me i thought was offencive, because of the title screen of the building dodging the plane, and it eas all animated and it kind of pissed me and a lot of other people off, because a lot of people died that day.

Well, I remember coming home from school and my dad coming home telling us to change the channel to the news immediatly. I didn't know what was going on. But, my bro said that that was when 'The Proud Family' started airing on Disney Channel and he says he hates the theme song, because it reminds him of 9/11 since that was all Disney Channel was showing at the time....not that it matters.

We had our moment of silence and everthing, but I honestly expected more. We never talked about it when most teachers won't shut their trap about it, no movies...it's like we really never gave a damn.

Yes, Yes, it was a tragedy. Yes, yes, I feel bad for those families it effected.

    I was in 3rd grade.

But still, I get incredibly annoyed, yes, ANNOYED, when people say "OMG THAT IS SUCH A HORRIBLE THING TO DO"

Of course it is horrible, but our country is not faultless.

We've killed hundreds of thousands more innocent Iraqis than the Americans killed in 9/11, but there are no memorial days about them.

D: I never knew about 9/11 until I was in grade six!

... And that happened when I was seven/six years old. I couldn't believe it when I found out about it three years later. Sadly, I live in Canada. We don't have a moment of silence or anything. But we acknowledge the fact that it was 9/11 yesterday, my principle even said to think about it for about a few minutes. And my Social Studies teacher was talking about it during the period.

Recently I was told that my Chior/Music teacher was quite upset when it happened. Her husband was on a band tour and she couldn't get a hold of him when he was flying to New York. Thankfully, he took a bus instead of a plane. I can't imagine what would my teacher would be like now if her husband did take a plane.

But yes, a terrible tragedy. Six years gone by so fast.

To be honest i actually forgot about it on Tuesday. But it's already been six years, it doesn't seem so long ago.

My big brother just moved to New York at the weekend & he works right next to ground zero. But i have yet to hear anything from him. I'm sure there was something big to commemorate the looses.

I live in NY and it can be a big deal here but in a lot of ways we are moving on. There are now actual designs and a 3d scale model that was made for the new World Trade Center that is going to be built sometime in the near future. Things get destroyed and rebuilt. The lives lost is tragic. The lives lost anywhere in the world happen and I focus on the fact that there are wars all around whether we are told of them daily in the news or not, such as fights in Africa with war lords or in South America. We had our day of tremendous loss and it shows we are not above the rest of the world in any way and bad things happen to us all. There really is a tremendous amount of violence out there.

I still remember the morning it happened and I was chatting on the computer and just was browsing the internet news and the first tower was hit. I turned on the TV after that and relatives were calling left and right as the tower collapsed and the second one went. It is still vivid in my mind and it was nearly unbelievable. I don't know why it was so unbelievable. Americans have been protected from a lot but we aren't invulnerable, so I am almost ashamed at first I didn't believe it.

I remember the day but I can't say I hold a silence time for it. I just think on it and on the other things I know that are going on around the world and hope for peace and an end to zealots of war, whether they use religion as an excuse, money as an excuse, or land as one. Fanatics really do ruin our lives in so many ways.

I remember when it happened...well, actually, I didn't even realise what had happened until the day after. Then my mum was watching this program with round-the-clock coverage on 9/11 and I asked, "Why are you crying?"

I guess at the time I really didn't understand what was going on but I just had this feeling without actually knowing, that something had gone wrong in the world.
