We had a minute silence in school when it happened but this is the first mention I've had of it all day. I flew in adn out of New York a month or two before it happened for a holiday to Florida. I was just going into high school that year, and I can remember my little sister asking why the people were jumping out of the building (it was the picture on the front of the newspaper) and no-one knew how to answer................(she was like 4).

    Wow.

Well, I was on a plane flying out of Newark a week before it happened. It must have been scary for you though.

I was in 4th grade when this happened and my 4th grade teacher's daughter died in the building. She was on the 56th floor and there was nothing for her to do. She didn't even HAVE to be there either. She was there a day early because sh wanted to deliver some type of report thing early. So she died while showing responsibility. It always seems that bad things happen to good people.

Sad story dude. I was in 4th grade when it happened. It's awkward, but we stopped having this moment of silence thing ever since the beginning of middle school. Without the whole moment of silence thing, it makes it feel like something unimportant sometimes, if u no wat I mean...

    September 11th Memorial

Can anyone else belive that it's been six years?
    Anyway.
Here's where you can say if you lost someone close to you during the attacks.
This is NOT the place to put conspiracy theories.

One of my good friends lost his father, and another friend of mine lost her father as well.
Also, I'd just like to thank the brave rescue workers that did so much at Ground Zero, and the people that fought back against the terrorists and crashed the plane in a field.
And above all, GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I really don't think we should be focusing on the sadness of it, but more of what we're going to do.

Six years and they haven't built anything.

Six years and they still haven't caught him.

But yeah, I remember all the teachers freaking out and seeing smoke.

I was in 4th. I remember coming home having no idea what the hell was going on, and to be honest, I really didn't care. Meaning that I didn't understand how important the matter was. Psh, that's changed quite a bit.

I was so little I didn't know what happened.(homeschooling) but I wasn't sad cause I didn't understand it also, my mom didn;t tell me anything about 9/11. But I did see fight 93 this summer.

Our school had a slide show and patriotic songs. but no silence...except for prayer time...

I still can't believe it's been six years....I was in 4th grade when it happened, and I remember the Kindergarden teacher running into our classroom and yelling. "There was an attack in New York City!" Our teacher ran out of the room, brought the tv into the room, turned on the news and we watched what happened. Then we had to get home early since we were near the city.

We had about 15 minutes of silence and then we prayed for about 5 minutes at my school this year.

    Our silence was a measly 30 seconds ;-;

And we had red white and blue day at my school today. My friend started crying while the student council president was giving a speech on it.

All I can remember of that day in school is we watched the news and it rained the whole entire day.

Wow six years, I can't believe it. I was in 4th grade when it happened. I was at the school's library talking with my two best friends and in the TV there was people talking about the accident. Me and my friends was like "What happened!?" That was so sad. But in my school they didn't make minutes of silence.
