Kingdom Hearts II Sephiroth KH2

I need help with sephiroth I almost came close but he killed me
is there any way I can beat him?

 

Plenty of good guides on Gamefaqs.
At the same time, you might also consider farming for your stats. If you've gotten pretty close to victory already, it might work out.
Ultima Weapon helps ALOT.

Here's a list to go through.

1. Get at least level 65. Preferably higher.

2. Get as many elixirs as possible. Comstomize so you can get elixirs by just pressing L1 and and of the buttons.

3. Get the Ultima Keyblade.

Reflega are curega are your friends. *nodnod* They're the only spells you'll need.
Stock up on high potions and mega elixirs.
And use the Ultima keyblade. Here's a synthesis guide to help you find the items for it if you don't have it. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/915410/42794 The recipe is in the mansion in Twilight Town in the room just before the Pod Room.
Don't equip abilities like lucky lucky and drive boosts because they don't help for this battle. Use the ability points (I think that's what they're called, I haven't played it since forever XD) for abilities like that help your defense or Strength.
When Sephy makes those orbs appear around you, spam Reflega. ;D
Level up your drive forms before hand so you can use Glide and such.
AAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDDDD............. When he knocks you into the air, use Retaliating Slash when he appears up by you to counter attack in the air. ;D

1. as stated go 65 or higher
2. keep your presets to elixer, cure, reflect, and magnet/thunder(depending on prefrence, the skill is used to interupt his attacks)
3. i use fatal crest to have unlimited combos during charge, it helps a lot considering Sephiroth flinches to aerial attacks, so if you can get him in a repeated combo which horizontal slash (press [] during a combo, to unleash quicker attacks the good thing is that the horizontal slash counts as a finisher.)
4. when in MP charge you dont do a finishing strike, trust me iv died trying to wait for MP to charge while sephy had 1 hp left, but that is what horizontal slash is for

If you're still having trouble just keep trying. Sephiroth in both games is about memorizing his moves, learning how to tell what he is about to do, and how to take care of it.

Also I recommend using nothing but elixirs in terms of items. If you're too short then try synthesizing them or getting an enemy to drop it. My favorite place for elixir hunting is the destroyers of space paranoids (the large purple guys) though there are others that will drop it.

EDIT: And make sure you save before you go in. This does two things. One, if you get angry and shut off your playstation when he kills you for the umpteenth time you don't loose data. And two, you have a file set up to fight him again if you want.

 

3 abillities HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!:
1.Gaurd
2.Conterattack(the one you do after gaurd)
3.Retaliating slash

just watch his movements and you'll see when.

 

Just don't so what i did the first 50 fights with Sephiroth.. DO NOT CHARGE! You need to wait, you don't really need to study his moves though, as they are quite simple, do a few rounds of just guarding and studying, you should find out how, when, and where he'll do his moves, and why.

 

dont bother, sephiroth's attacks give little time to react you shouldnt give him time to attack you

 

Actually if you increase your distance then you can react to him moving towards you, warping, etc.

Getting him to not really attack works in stage one and somewhat in stage two, but by stage three there is no way you're attacking him that often without being able to counter nearly everything he does.

 

when he starts to have a black/purple glow, thats when you have to be careful for sin harvest and meteor strike, other than that you should be fine

 

Be at level 65 or higher.....ultima weapon...and if those fail, Action Replay or Gameshark.....

 

If you are cheap, you can take out 4 1/2 bars of health with only one hand. good times, good times.

If you can, go into wisdom form and start shooting at him like crazy

 

um try to have the ultima weapon or hell even kingdom key
have berserk equiped and try to be atleast level 70

 

no go. It's a solo battle so drives can't be used.

 

I am trying to beat sephiroth at lv. 37. i don't have that glide thing or the ulima weapon. is it possible to beat sephiroth at this level, and where do you get ultima?

 

It's possible to beat him at any level. I wouldn't recommend trying until your at level 50 if not 60. Go much past that though and the battle becomes a joke. Also the growth abilities come in very handy so try leveling your forms. I would say the most vital is master for aerial dodge, that way it's easier to interrupt heartless angel.
