This isn't about a specific manga so much as it is about mangaka. Some of you know about the lesser known twin of Naruto's author I'm sure. When I read Blazer Drive and 666 Satan I thought it was Masashi writing under a different name until the I realized the time line didn't quite fit and I researched it finding only then about the twin thing. Their art and thematic styles are incredibly similar, it's like looking at two stages of one persons career to me. Masashi has a rougher and more immature style of drawing ad writing to me and Seishi's looks cleaner and reads as better thought out and applied. This could just be me but I think that Seishi is the better of the two. What do you think?

Well . . . I dont really like to say it but . . . Yeah, Seishi is the way better one. I really enjoyed 666Satan, and I too was surprised at how close their styles are. But, when you compare the latest chapter of Naruto to some of Seishi's stuff stuff, it's almost as if they're on the same level! Though you can still pick out things Seishi did better here and there. But still, Seishi's manga is very, very well done, even though I forget the story line, I still remember the artwork, and that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well i've never thought about it that way. Although I definately have to agree on Masashi's writing style, it can get very sloppy and completely unstylish at times. I might wanna check those manga you suggested out. Actually, its funny, because a 666 Satan character looks exactly like Sasuke, only he has one side of white hair and the other black, and a red eye on one side and a normal colored eye on the other.

Not only this, but if you think about themes in Naruto, '6' is a huge one...the sharingan, Orochimaru, the Rinnegan, etc. Its like the bros are paying tribute to eachother?

Jio Freed looks more like Naruto in most pics you see, well except cooler and better drawn.

I don't see six's in any of the things you're talking about in Naruto though. Could you explain that?

The Rinnegan is a type of eye that has six rings in it.
Pain (or Pein?) the only user of the Rinnegan currently has 6 "clones."
This one is farfetched but the tomoe in the sharingan look like sixes.
So does Orochimaru's curse mark seal...

there are others, but I can't think of them

I read the first chapter of 666 Satan and I already like it better than Naruto. Dunno why, but it just seems to have a better plot to me.

I guess you're right, it does. Even though I'm Agnostic, having Judeo-Christian religious references makes a manga better. I mean, just look at Evangelion. I hope they end up making a 666 Satan anime.

    They probably will... xD

They've made Vampire Knight an anime, after all so 666 Satan will also become an anime...

The question lies on when though... Not if, but when... xD

I fail to see how having Judeo-Christian references and principals in a manga makes it, by default, better. The fact that it is good doesn't directly relate to what it's about. You could have a really good manga about any topic, the subject matter gives a point to start from but it doesn't ensure that the series will be good.

I know, I just can't for the life of me comprehend the reason you think this.
